Verochic® is a green-derivative active ingredient with high deodorizing properties. Indeed, it counteracts effectively the activity of the lipase enzyme, reducing the production of fat acids that cause bad odors. It also has high exfoliating efficacy, maintaining at the same time an excellent skin hydration and avoiding irritating side effects. It is therefore indicated to be used in formulations addressed to sensitive and/or pathological skins.

Technical Details & Test Data

Efficacy Tests

In vitro:

  • Inhibition of the enzymatic activity of lipase
  • Antiacne

In vivo:

  • Exfoliating effect of Shikimic acid
Indications

Verochic is particularly suitable for deodorants as roll-on, spray and cream formulations where enzymatic and bacterial inhibition should be reached in order to reduce or eliminate human malodors.

Due to its antibacterial and exfoliating properties, it could be also used in anti-acne creams and emulsions, in controlling follicular hyperkeratosis and bacterial proliferation in acne subjects. It could be used also for anti-dandruff shampoos and lotions.

Due to its natural origin, Verochic should be considered as a valid alternative to traditional synthetic ingredients still used in cosmetic products.

In water solutions, very low pH are reached, which should be neutralized depending on the formulation, without altering its physical-chemical characteristic, neither its functionality.
