Technical Details & Test Data

Mechanism of Action

The Glycofilm® Glycosystem is , above all, born from the observation that the matrix created by Glycofilm® is not limited only to a protective action against external aggressions (UV, heavy metals, pollution, etc.) but indeed generates good also mechanical and rheological properties suggesting a tensor power.
In order to optimize the tensor properties of Glycofilm® , the Solabia Group researchers relied on 2 essential parameters :

  • The interactivity of Glycofilm® with different types of ingredients called matrix co-activators such as salts, glycols and diols as well as derivative products.
  • The molecular rearrangement capacity of oligosaccharides and polysaccharides to form polymeric structures with optimized rheological properties.
