Storage & Handling

Storage & Handling
  • Normal safety precautions (i.e., gloves and safety goggles) should be employed when handling AMPHOSOL CG-50. Contact with the eyes and prolonged contact with the skin should be avoided. Wash thoroughly after handling material.
  • It is recommended that AMPHOSOL CG-50 be stored in sealed containers and kept at temperatures between 40 °F (4 °C) and 120 °F (49 °C). Avoid overheating or freezing. If material is frozen, mild heat and agitation are recommended to ensure the material is homogeneous before use.
  • Bulk Storage Information: Tanks made of fiberglass are recommended. Storage tanks made of 316 stainless steel are susceptible to chloride-induced cracking over time. Centrifugal or positive displacement pumps gear pumps are recommended. Piping of 316 stainless steel is adequate; however Teflon or fiberglass piping is preferred. Recommended storage for bulk tanks is 50-110 °F (10-43 °C).
