Applications

MAKON OP-9 is a 100% active nonionic liquid that is water soluble. It is stable in acids, bases and salts. This nonionic surfactant offers many advantages in industrial cleaners, household chemical specialties, metal cleaners, janitorial products, dairy cleaners, acid and alkaline cleaners, floor cleaners, detergent/sanitizers, laundry and textile detergents, automotive specialties and waterless hand cleaners. MAKON OP-9 is compatible with other anionic and nonionic surfactants and can be incorporated into any emulsifier formulation for agricultural applications.

Storage & Handling

Storage & Handling

Normal safety precautions (i.e. gloves and safety goggles) should be employed when handling MAKON OP-9. Contact with the eyes and prolonged contact with the skin should be avoided. Wash thoroughly after handling material. It is recommended that MAKON OP-9 be stored in sealed containers and kept in a cool, dry place.

Bulk Storage Information

MAKON OP-9 can be stored in vessels of 304 or 316 stainless steel; carbon steel is also adequate. Material should be stored between 80-110 °F (27-38 °C). An internal hairpin coil of 304, 316 stainless or carbon steel with low pressure steam (under 50 psig) should be used if heating is required. Mild agitation is required if the tank is heated. Heating may not be required for inside storage if the tank is turned over frequently. Stainless steel is preferred for pumps, pipes and transfer lines; however, carbon steel is adequate.
