- STEPANOL ME-DRY is a sodium lauryl sulfate derived from fatty alcohol sulfonated via Stepan's continuous SO₃ process. The product of this process is then spray dried to produce a white powder.
- STEPANOL ME-DRY is used in powdered bubble baths, hand cleaners, and detergents. Because of its excellent foaming properties, STEPANOL ME-DRY is used in liquid hand soaps, shampoos, and other personal care and detergent applications.

STEPANOL ME-DRY is slightly toxic orally to mammals (LD₅₀ is between 0.8 to 1.1 g/kg) and aquatic organisms (LC50 =12 mg/L). At 10% active, it causes moderate to severe skin and eye irritation.

- Normal safety precautions (e.g., gloves and safety goggles) should be employed when handling STEPANOL ME-DRY. Contact with eyes, nose or prolonged contact with skin should be avoided. Wash thoroughly after handling STEPANOL ME-DRY. Avoid inhaling dust. See SDS for more information.
- Non-Bulk Storage Recommendations: STEPANOL ME-DRY should be stored in closed containers and kept in a cool, dry place to avoid agglomeration, and should be kept away from incompatible materials (see Section 10 of the SDS).
- Workplace Exposure
Occupational exposure can occur primarily through skin contact or via inhalation of vapors and mists. Engineering controls, personal protective equipment, and other workplace practices should be used to control these exposures. See SDS for more information.
