STRUKTOL® WS 280 PASTE is a new concept in processing additives based on organosilicones which in many applications show superior performance compared to conventional products. These new organosilicones are highly compatible with rubber compounds. This enables utilization of the highly efficient lubrication effects of silicone without exsudation or bloom. Limited compatibility can occasionally be observed with compounds having a low filler content and/or a very high cross-link density.
In a unique way STRUKTOL® WS 280 PASTE improves flow properties and release behavior in the processing of rubber as well as mold release of vulcanizates.
STRUKTOL® WS 280 PASTE has an extremely low volatility at high temperatures and is particularly suitable for FPM compounds. It gives excellent release properties on mixing machinery, exceptionally good flow properties, and reduces mold fouling. STRUKTOL® WS 280 PASTE gives not only better extrusion properties, but is excellent also for injection molding.
