Tiger-Sul Elemental Sulphur 99.5%

Elemental Sulfur 99.5% is designed to provide industrial sulfur users with a form of sulfur featuring excellent handling characteristics. This material is formed from molten sulfur using a drop forming process that results in a compacted granular product known as a “pastille.” This manufacturing process allows Tiger-Sul to deliver a quality material that surpasses the standards in industries such as steel making, pulp and paper, malting, fruit processing, mining, and other industries requiring sulfur. This product is very easy to handle with a low dust content, allowing for enhanced safety during the industrial handling processes.

Storage & Handling

Storage and Handling Information
  • Good housekeeping is necessary when handling sulfur products. Always use stringent dust control procedures to prevent concentrated flammable dusts from reaching a spark or flame source.
  • Sulfur materials should not be blended and stored with strong oxidizing agents such as ammonium nitrate.
  • Avoid extensive use of augers due to fracturing of the product. Review the National Fire Protection Association® (NFPA) 655: Standard for Prevention of Sulfur Fires and Explosions for additional information.
