Touch OTAL 2006

1 of 5 products in this brand
Touch OTAL 2006 is a flowable and has little thixotropic behavior of Ethylene Vinyl Acetate Co-Polymer wax stabilized with CAB resin in the mixture solvents of Xylene and Butyl Acetate of fine particles. It gives good aluminum and pearlecent pigments orientation control in order to give better workability and better finishing of metallic coating. Touch OTAL 2006 can be easily incorporated and disperse to the system by low sheer force. However they are recommended to add in after the metallic pigments have been dispersed homogeneously. A slight amount of Polyamide wax is incorporated in Touch OTAL 2006 in order to give better anti-settling effect to the system.

The advantages of Touch OTAL 2006 are as below:

  • Prevent aluminum or pearlecent pigment goes swimming on wet coat. This will give good orientation to the metallic pigment and enhance better finishing of the final coating.
  • Excellent heat resistance
  • Easy to incorporate and thus reduces manufacturing time.
  • Flowable or pumpable for improved handling.
  • Non-seeding and maintain excellent stability in storage.
  • Non-discoloring -non reactive.

Recommended For Use

  • Touch OTAL 2006 is recommended for non-aqueous system. It can be use in Polyurethane, Acrylic-CAB system, Saturated Polyester-CAB system, straight thermoplastic Acrylic, Stoving Acrylic and Saturated Polyester system and NC.
  • Touch OTAL 2006 can be incorporated at any stage of production but ideally will be after the metallic pigments have been dispersed homogeneously. A low sheer force is needed for incorporation and mixes homogeneously the final mixture for 5 min. to ensure good incorporation.
Dosage

The effect of aluminum orientation is very depending on the formulation. Therefore in the requirement of individual, our recommended typical dosage is max. 25% based on the total formulation. A dosage more than 25% may affect the overcoat adhesion properties of the clear coat. Thus adhesion test is needed to be carried out.
