- Relevance
- Polymers containing ATBS improve scrub resistance, dispersant performance and reduce grit formation
- Used in the cooling tower and boilers, to inhibit calcium, Magnesium and Silica scale formation. Also used to precipitate solids in industrial and mining effluents
- Improve strength in pressure sensitive formulations and also make wood glue to improve adhesive strength, and thermal and mechanical properties with superior rheology
- Being super absorbents, they are used in diapers, lotions and other personal care products, due to high water absorbing capacity, electrical conductivity, slipperiness and lubricity. Also used as water retention agents
- Used as textile sizing agents, thickeners, dispersants and non-woven emulsion binders used to improve characteristics of hydrophilicity, dispersibility, and lubricity and also enhance the cleaning efficiency of detergents and cleaners.
- Gives dye receptability for acrylic fiber
- In drilling operations where conditions of high salinity, high temperature and high pressure are present, ATBS copolymers are used successfully to inhibit fluid loss.
- In cementing operations within deep, high temperature wells, ATBS copolymers are used as non-retarding fluid loss control agents.
- ATBS copolymers are used in oil field environments as scale inhibitors, friction reducers and water-control polymers, and in polymer flooding applications.
