- SILRES BS 1703 SQ is added undiluted into the mixer, usually at dosage levels ranging from 0.1 to 0.3 % by weight based on the overall solids level. For the unimpaired product performance, proper mixing into the cement-based slurry is required. The product should be added to the slurry after all solids, especially cement.

SILRES BS 1703 SQ is a liquid but waterless oligomeric siloxane of a relatively low viscosity. It is not water-thinable, but intended to be used in water-based construction material processes involving high-shear mixer units, especially for manufacturing fiber-reinforced cement-products, like e.g. fiber-cement board. As an admix additive for the integral water repellent treatment, it is usually added undiluted into the mixer.
