DURAGUARD is a copper based gas absorbent used to remove hydrogen sulfide from natural gas and natural gas liquids. William Blythe has combined innovation in chemistry with our expertise in manufacturing technology to produce a high capacity absorbent for H2S removal and co-removal of H2S and mercury from hydrocarbon gas and liquid streams, offering unrivaled durability and performance to natural gas processing operators.

The Flamtard range has been developed and manufactured in-house Using optimum process cantrol for product consistency and offering excellent calour stability. Products within the range are stable and compatible with most polymer systems (e.g. PVC and Polyamide] with no adverse effect on polymer performance properties [e.g. Mechanical], Our commitment to excellence and continuous improvarnent ensures that all Flamtard products are of a high purity with tightly controtled particle size, to deliver consistently superior performance, The Flamtard range has dual phase activity: inhibiting flame by the gas phase mechanism and suppressing smoke by a
condensed phase mechanism.


Flamtard

William Blythe has used its extensive expertise in hydrothermal synthesis to produce a range ofnano-sized doped tungsten oxides that are ideal for selected applications in coatings and renewableenergy. Absorption in the UV, visible and, most importantly, NIR can be controlled by varying the dopantsand dopant ratios to deliver bespoke products to meet your individual needs. Materials in the Luxacal™range have been optimized for high absorption in the near infrared region and high transmittance in thevisible region making them ideal candidates for use in thermal control glazing applications. William Blythe has filed patents for products which have been designed to maximize NIR absorption while minimizing absorption in the visible region.

Graphene oxide is an oxidized derivative of the 'wonder material', graphene, with myriad potential applications as a result of its unique properties as a 2D material. William Blythe is a world-leader in the commercialisation of GO, offering a product with unrivaled purity that is manufactured through a safe and inherently scalable route.

One of the key benefits to GO over graphene is its ability to be dispersed readily in water, enabling access to 2D sheets via sustainable processing routes, which is why we offer our product already dispersed at a range of concentrations in water. We can also offer a powder products for anhyrdous applications.

William Blythe Stannous Chloride is a high purity tin (II) chloride available as an anhydrous white powder or as a clear and colorless solution in customized concentrations. Stannous chloride is used for its properties as a catalyst and reducing agent in applications ranging from pharmaceutical synthesis to construction to electronics. William Blythe also offers an application-specific grade of tin (II) chloride solution for the mirror coating industry.

DURAGUARD S100 is a copper-based gas absorbent used to remove hydrogen sulfide from natural gas and natural gas liquids. Combining innovation in chemistry with our expertise in manufacturing technology, William Blythe now offers a high capacity absorbent for H2S removal and co-removal of H2S and mercury from hydrocarbon gas and liquid streams, providing unrivaled durability and performance to natural gas processing operators.

DURAGUARD S100

Flamtard V grades are inorganic silicate based flame retardant synergists, chemically modified to control the glass transition temperatures over which they soften (470-500 °C). Above this they convert into a highly viscous molten state in which they can help to reduce the creation and propagation of micro cracks in char formation during polymer combustion. Flamtard V can also improve adhesion of metal oxide residues and oxidized organic materials, leading to mechanically stronger chars. 

Flamtard V can be used in mica filled silicon based security cables, flame retardant intumescent PVC and PUR materials for the building and construction industry, polyamides and polyolefins. For other polymers, check the potential stability with TGA first. 

This proven replacement for antimony trioxide can be used alone or in conjunction with other materials in the Flamtard range.

Flamtard V

Flamtard H (zinc hydroxystannate) is an insoluble, non-hazardous, antimony-free flame retardant synergist that inhibits the development of flames and smoke in polymers. In halogen-containing polymers, the material has both condensed and vapor phase action during combustion. At 220 °C, the material releases 15w% of water, then at higher temperatures (400 °C - 600 °C) zinc and tin ions exert catalytic activity that inhibits the radical chain reaction causing the flame. In halogen-free polymers Flamtard H can increase the char consistency and strength.

Flamtard S (zinc stannate) is an insoluble, non-hazardous, antimony-free flame retardant synergist, and is increasingly being used in green applications, particularly in the electronics industry. It is extremely effective in PVC systems for cable sheathing, epoxy resins for printed circuit boards, polyamides and surface coatings. Flamtard S is thermally stable up to 400 °C; at higher temperatures (400 °C - 600 °C) zinc and tin ions exert catalytic activity that inhibits the radical chain reaction causing the flame.

Luxacal™ is a doped-tungsten oxide nanomaterial with near infrared (NIR) absorption functionality. The materials size and dopant levels have been optimized for high absorption in the near infrared region and high transmittance in thevisible region making them ideal candidates for use in thermal control glazing applications.

William Blythe Stannous Oxide is a high purity tin (II) oxide black powder with wide applicability across a range of sectors including catalysis, life sciences, pigments, plating and process chemicals, a colorant in the glass industry to make ruby glass, as a source of Sn2+ ions in solid state description reactions to produce complex oxides, or in reactions with weak acids to manufacture stannous compounds.
