NYACOL® NYAGRAPH 35 is a Expandable Graphite Flame Retardant. NYAGRAPH 35 is a natural material based on processed graphite ore. The ore is treated with sulfuric acid in what is called an intercalation process. The material is washed and neutralized to prevent corrosion of metal parts when processed by the user. Excessive shear should be avoided.

Roflam F9 is a specialized phosphate ester used as an additive flame retardant. The product is halogen-free, thus, it does not release toxic gasses during the combustion process. The use of a flame retardant leads to the formation of a charred layer on the surface of the material, which inhibits the spread of the flame.
