- Chemical Name:Di-n-butyl maleate (DBM)
- Functions:Monomer, Solubilizer, Plasticizer
- CAS Number:105-76-0
- Chemical Family:Esters, Adipates, Sebacates & Maleates
Di-n-butyl maleate (DBM) is an internal plasticizer that can be copolymerized with monomers such as vinyl chloride, vinyl acetate, and styrene. Copolymers are commonly used in coatings, films, adhesives, rubbers, pigment fixatives, etc. When this product is used in polyvinyl chloride products, it can make the products soft, smooth and transparent. It has strong solvent capacity and can effectively plasticize resins that are generally not easy to plasticize (such as acrylonitrile and methacrylate resins).
