Nidaplast 8FR are polypropylene honeycomb intended to serve as a core for structural sandwich panels. The nidaplast 8FR is an extruded polypropylene honeycomb with an approved halogen-free material that limits the spread of flames. (flammability according to UL94 standards: V2 classification)

Due to its good dimensional stability at elevated temperatures, Divinycell P can be processed with medium temperature pre-preg systems and it is compatible with most commonly used resin and manufacturing systems. Divinycell P is easy to thermoform, cut or mill.

Cel Components S.R.L. Pet W FR-FR150 is a polyethylene ter based fire retardant structural foam cores. Pet Foam is a thermoplastic core material suitable for a variety of sandwich applications to increase performance and reduce weight. It is used in sandwich panel applications in railway wagons and in shipyards and for wind power applications. It is easy to work with and has good dimensional stability at elevated temperatures. It is suitable for a variety of processes including infusion, prepreg and pressing.

CORAFOAM® U 80 is used as Polyurethane rigid foam PUR. can be cut with almost any type of tool. Its closed cellular structure and absence of fibers or granular structure result in crisp, excellently defined edges after fabrication. It is also impermeable by any type of liquid, including water and solvents, making it much better suited for severe weather conditions or harsh marine environments than many other materials.

Lantor Soric® XF 2 is a flexible honeycomb foam mat used to add structure and thickness to composite laminates. The compression resistant hexagonal cell structure and resin flow channels make Aero-Mat ideal as a core material and infusion medium in one. Unlike standard cell honeycomb, Aero-Mat is very flexible and will conform to compound shapes. The pressure resistant cells create thickness in the laminate without the added weight of extra fabric layers. It is ideally suited for reinforcing curved laminations where additional stiffness is needed.

SynFoam DW is a high performance syntactic foam designed for the most critical deep water applications. SynFoam DW has the highest strength to weight ratio of all SynFoam grades and allowing the end users to ultimately reduce the weight of the buoyancy package. Our DW series ranges in density from 31 to 41 pounds per cubic foot and is highly recommended for 5K and 6K ROV's as well as other deep water submersibles. SynFoam DW is available as 4.5” x 11.5” x 11.5” fully cured blocks. The blocks may be further machined into different sizes and shapes by the end user to meet the necessary specific tolerances and requirements. Our syntactic foam is easily bonded together with the use of our syntactic adhesive to form large structures. If you have a specific design for use with SynFoam DW we also provide final module fabrication services. Services include machining, assembly, and finishing with a quality marine based paint.

Soric® XF 5 is the cost effective solution for closed mold processes. It is used as core material and infusion medium. It is a pressure stable polyester nonwoven and compatible with all regular types of resins, including Polyester, Vinylester, Phenolic and Epoxy. It is suitable for closed mold processes, including Infusion, RTM Light, RTM Heavy.

Nomex® AHN 7800-3/16-4.0 is an Commercial Grade Nomex® honeycomb particularly suited for use where resistance to corrosive attack and moisture are important. This material exhibits good strength characteristics and is fire resistant. It is available in a variety of cell sizes and densities to suit most purposes. Typical applications include lightweight non-structural bulkheads for ships, joiner panels, shelters, antennas, and auto body panels. This material is not intended for aircraft or aerospace applications. This material also exhibits good thermal insulation properties and also has good dielectric properties. This honeycomb is easily machined, formed, and shaped and well suited to adhesive bonding.

Divinycell HCP grade meets the demand for a high performance, low density buoyancy material with excellent characteristics. It is widely used in submarines, subsea buoyancy units, ROVs, diving bells and impact protection structures. As a result of its excellent hydraulic compressive properties and closed cell structure, it has very low buoyancy loss and water absorption under long-term loading conditions. HCP stands for Hydraulic Crush Point and is defined as the point of pressure in Bar, where the material when subjected to an increasing pressure of 1-2 Bar/sec has lost 5% of its initial volume. The design of subsea buoyancy applications is complex and consideration has to be given to the required buoyancy loss and updrift over the expected lifetime and service conditions, with respect to long and short term hydraulic compressive creep, water absorption and hydraulic fatigue. Barymat BTMM-14C is a versatile and durable noise barrier / absorption material. The composite consists of (from top down) a metallized mylar facing that has high contamination resistance and light reflectivity, 1.0 in. of acoustic urethane foam for sound absorption, a loaded, flexible 1.6 lb. per sq. ft. barrier for transmission loss and a .25 In. urethane foam decoupler. It is suitable for very dirty, wet or oily environments and can be exposed to direct spray.

PAA-SHH® PAA-SHH® (Phosphoric Acid Anodized-Showa Hexagonal Honeycomb) 1/8-5052-001 is an aerospace grade 5052 aluminum honeycomb materials produced from phosphoric acid anodized aluminum sheets. Phosphoric acid anodize gives an excellent corrosion resistance to aluminum alloy, and the surface treatment system with a corrosion prohibited primer provide the greatest bondability and fatigue strength under critical conditions such as hot & wet condition.
