17 oz. aramid and "soft glass" fibers are combined to make a fabric that is stronger than pure aramid and less abrasive than glass fabrics. This material is impregnated with a high temperature phenolic resin matrix, which produces a composite with excellent mechanical strength at elevated temperatures and adverse environments. Applications include wear plates for conveyor systems, valve plates, and compressor and pump vanes. Variations of this material may be developed for specific applications.

APCM SG 4528-015CU-101V is a lightweight, conductive, surfacing film composed of a non-woven metallic copper mesh impregnated with a toughened epoxy resin plus an ultra lightweight veil for outstanding surfacing capability. It is designed for lightning and shielding protection of aircraft, equipotential ground planes and as a counterpoise for antenna installations.

Basaltex NV Basaltex BAS1101 is an impregnated basalt fabric designed as fire barrier in composites for public transport, aerospace, maritime, automotive as well as building and construction. Basalt fibers are extruded from 100% basalt volcanic rocks. They are characterized by outstanding mechanical properties combined with unique heat resistance. Basalt fibers are inert at high temperatures, will not soften like glass fibers, and retain their structure as barrier in a fire.

HexPly® F593 is a modified 350°F (177°C) curing epoxy system with very low flow for carbon fabric and tape applications that provides excellent laminate and honeycomb sandwich properties. As a low flow resin, HexPly® F593 lends itself to net resin, zero bleed applications. HexPly® F593’s low flow minimizes sandwich part porosity.

HexPly® M77 is a fast curing hotmelt, thermosetting epoxy resin matrix, specifically designed for prepreg applications at which short cure cycles are required. M77 is recommended for curing at 120 – 150°C and is suitable for a range of pressures (5 – 35bar). M77 can be used for manufacture of large industrial components, suitable for cure of thin and thick sections.

CPP-3K is Plain weave carbon fiber prepreg 3K. The intermediate material of a composite material, which is made of carbon fiber yarn, resin matrix, release paper and other materials through coating, hot pressing, cooling, laminating, coiling and other processes, also known as carbon fiber prepreg. P25N consist of a polyimide resin system suitable for military, commercial or industrial electronic applications requiring superior performance and the utmost in thermal properties. These products utilize a polyimide and thermoplastic blend resin, fully cured without the use of Methylenedianiline (MDA). This results in a polymer with a high Tg without the characteristic difficulties of brittleness and low initial bond strength associated with traditional thermoset polyimides.

APCM DA 4518 E-Glass is a modified epoxy system coated on heavy weight unidirectional E-Glass fibers. This product is designed to build excellent unidirectional strength using a minimum number of plies. DA 4518/E-Glass Uni also features extended room temperature out time and service temperatures to 300°F.

Toray TC890 high temperature polyimide prepreg system utilizes PROOF Research Advanced Composites Division 900HT resin system. TC890 is a high temperature, polyimide-based thermoset prepreg with outstanding dry property retention at 343°C (650°F), wet service property retention at 288°C (550°F), and short-term and intermittent service temperature capability to 427°C (800°F). TC890 has been successfully demonstrated in short term, transient heating Applicationss to temperatures as high as 1300°F. TC275-1E is an extended out time version of the TC275-1 resin system. TC275-1E is a flexible cure toughened epoxy prepreg designed to enable composite part construction with low pressure or vacuum bag only (VBO) cures. The resin system provides a 28-day total out time to facilitate construction of thick or larger composite structures. HexPly 1458 is a self-extinguishing and self-adhesive modified epoxy resin system for monolithic and sandwich structures. HexPly 1458 has excellent temperature and moisture resistance. It has a versatile cure cycle at 160°C to 180°C and it has an excellent shelf life at room temperature. HexPly 1458 prepregs are only available in fabric form.

LC296 is a snap curing phenolic prepreg system tailored for press molding in a variety of aircraft interior applications. LC296 provides extremely low OSU heat release combined with low smoke, self extinguishing, and excellent self adhesive properties and surface finish. HexPly® 954-3 is a 350ºF (177ºC) curing cyanate resin with excellent resistance to moisture absorption, outgassing and microcracking. HexPly® 954-3 is formulated for autoclave or press molding using a standard cure of two hours at 350ºF (177ºC). Glass transition temperature can be maximized by post curing at 450ºF (232ºC). The recommended lay-up procedure is HSP-L3. The recommended cure procedure is HSP-C1 or HSP-C2.

TS7 is a B-staged silicone prepreg based on a medium weave glass fabric suitable for the manufacture of tubes and laminates.

HexPly® F655™ is a bismaleimide resin that cures via an addition reaction in a toughened two-phase thermoset matrix with no condensation by-products. 35N is a pure polyimide laminate and prepreg system for applications requiring high temperature performance.
