SABIC's Specialties Business Lexan EXL5689 polycarbonate (PC) resin is a GF reinforced, UV stabilized, flame retardant injection molding copolymer blend. This medium flow resin features UL94 V0 @ 1.5mm flame retardancy based on non-chlorine, non-bromine FR agents with excellent processability and improved release performance. Lexan EXL5689 resin offers much improved impact strength and ductility over conventional GF reinforced PC resins. This product is an excellent candidate for a broad range of applications, including electrical and electronic enclosures among others.

Akulon® Ultraflow XG-FKGS6 is a high-performance polyamide 6 and polyamide 66 material trusted worldwide for applications in automotive, electronics, electrical, furniture, and packaging. In molded parts, it delivers an impressive blend of design simplicity and processing ease, along with exceptional mechanical properties across a wide temperature range and diverse conditions. For extrusion, it sets industry benchmarks, featuring remarkable strength, resilience, and ease of processing. This product boasts special features including 30% glass reinforcement, flame retardancy (halogen-free), and being best suited for injection molding.

ForTii® F11 is a breakthrough high-temperature polyamide that offers halogen-free and halogen-containing flame retardant grades, making it suitable for demanding applications in industries such as electronics, lighting, automotive, white goods, industrial, and aerospace. It provides an excellent balance of flow, toughness, and stiffness, enabling the production of thin walls or complex geometries in electronics and electrical applications. The material is VDE (Verband der Elektrotechnik) approved for all colors, has a high RTI electrical rating of 140 °C at 0.75 mm, and a CTI rating of 800 V, ensuring thermal and electrical performance. It is phosphorous-free and VDE-certified. The processing technology for this product is injection molding.

ForTii® F12 is a breakthrough high-temperature polyamide that offers halogen-free and halogen-containing flame retardant grades, making it suitable for demanding applications in industries such as electronics, lighting, automotive, white goods, industrial, and aerospace. It exhibits an excellent balance of stiffness and toughness, making it suitable for high-mechanical load applications such as power connectors or electric vehicle (EV) parts. With a high RTI electrical rating of 140 °C at 0.75 mm and JEDEC (Joint Electron Device Engineering Council) Level 2 performance, it allows for surface mount technology (SMT) processes without deformation and with a low risk of blistering. The processing technology for this product is injection molding, and it is phosphorous-free.

Urochem Molding Compound 371 by BI-QEM is a urea formaldehyde resin reinforced with highly refined cellulose and modified with special purpose additives, pigments, cure regulators and lubricants. It exhibits high apparent density and very good melt-flow. It provides glossy surface, high hardness, excellent scratch resistance and excellent chemical resistance. It provides excellent electrical properties and resistance against surfactants & weak bases. Urochem Molding Compound 371 is designed for processing by compression molding. It is suitable for electrical accessories, sanitary products, caps and closures. The molded products can be recycled and exhibits good UV stability with good moisture resistance. Its shelf life is of 6 months below 20°C.

Urochem Molding Compound 162 by BI-QEM is a highly refined cellulose filled urea formaldehyde resin. It is modified with special purpose additives, pigments, cure regulators and lubricants. It offers high hardness, glossy surface, excellent scratch resistance and excellent chemical resistance. It exhibits low shrinkage, low water absorption and high strength. It provides excellent electrical properties and resistance against surfactants & weak bases. It can be processed by compression molding. Urochem Molding Compound 162 is recommended for electrical accessories (typically faceplates). The molded products can be recycled and exhibits good UV stability with good moisture resistance. Its shelf life is of 12 months below 20°C.

Firebrake® ZB-XF zinc borate is a white, crystalline powder manufactured in the USA by U.S. Borax Inc. Firebrake® ZB is a unique form of zinc borate with multi-functional fire retardant applications in plastic and rubber compounds. Since Firebrake ZB releases its water of hydration at temperatures exceeding 290°C (554°F), it can be used in systems requiring high processing temperatures.

Urochem 162 Molding Compounds can be supplied in an almost unlimited range of colors from translucent light pastels to black. Hard, glossy and scratch resistant surface. Excellent chemical resistance. Fats, oils and common organic solvents like alcohol and acetone do not attack molded parts which are also resistant to surfactants and weak bases. They will withstand attack from weak acids for a shorter duration. Excellent electrical properties (arc quenching, tracking, flame resistance). Oxygen index of 30% is achieved without the use of external flame retardants. No halogens are present in the composition.

Unfilled Rexolite® 1422 is chemically resistant, light weight, resists water absorption, and has negligible outgassing. Rexolite® is a thermoset, rigid, translucent plastic produced by cross linking and Rexolite is specifically geared for the microwave industry. The main feature of Rexolite is its stable electrical properties into the GHz frequency range. It is also optically clear (very similar to Acrylic), dimensionally stable, and has excellent sound transmission characteristics. Because of these features, Rexolite® is often used for high-frequency circuit substrates, microwave components, and lenses for acoustic, optical and radio-frequency applications. Rexolite has a Dielectric constant of 2.53 (up to 500 GHz) and exhibits an extremely low dissipation factor.
