SABIC's Specialties Business EXTEM™ Resin XH2315 is a reinforced, 30% glass fiber-filled amorphous thermoplastic polyimide resin that offers an extremely high glass transition temperature (Tg) of 267°C. It features excellent mechanical, electrical, and dimensional properties up to the highest temperatures, as well as very good chemical resistance for an amorphous material. It is also inherently flame retardant, achieving UL94 V0 ratings at 0.75 mm and V0, 5VA at 1.0 mm and 1.5 - 1.65 mm. This material is RoHS compliant and is available in natural and black colors with a transparent amber base.

38N is an improved polyimide low-flow prepreg suitable for bonding multilayer polyimide rigid-flex, attaching heat sinks to polyimide MLBs, or other applications where minimal and uniform resin flow is required.

Comco PLAVIS G40 is a self-lubricating grade with low thermal expansion. Modification: 40% graphite.

85N is the ultimate polyimide and laminate prepreg system fo PWB's requiring resistance to high temperature, both in process and in end-use applications. Bromine-free chemistry provides Bestin-Class thermal stability for applications with sustained high in-use temperatures as well as for use in lead-free soldering applications.

Comco PLAVIS ESD is Electrostatically dissipative and has high thermal resistance, superior mechanical properties and surface resistivity 10²-10³. Modification: electrostatic dissipative.

33N is a flame retardant (UL94 V-O) polyimide laminate and prepreg system where the excellent high performance properties of polyimide need to be combined with flame retardance. High Tg (250°C) results in low overall z-axis expansion, and minimizes risk of latent PTH defects in-service.

Comco PLAVIS G15 is a self-lubricating grade for wear and friction applications. Modification: 15% graphite.

35N is a pure polyimide laminate and prepreg system for applications requiring high temperature performance. High Tg (250°C) results in low Z-direction expansion for resistance to PTH failure during PWB processing, and minimizes risk of latent PTH defects in-service. Reduced temperature and time to cure offers improved throughput compared to traditional polyimide cycles.

Comco PLAVIS S has best physical properties at high temperatures, with a continuous operating temperature of 350°C. Modification: non-filled.

It is widely used in the composite industry in the processing of thermoplastics, as well as for insulation in electrical appliances that are used in special conditions. The use of polyimide film in the electronics industry means reducing the volume and weight of electrical appliances while maintaining the same performance or increasing power without increasing their size. It can also extend the life of electrical appliances and improve their reliability.

Comco PLAVIS MS is a self-lubricating grade for vacuum environments. Modification: 15% MoS2.

Compared to conventional polyimide systems, 85HP has a lower Z-axis expansion and twice the thermal conductivity. 85HP reduces resin cracking and wicking in designs with high density plated through holes and vias. 85HP prepreg has resin fl ow characteristics and pressed thickness matching standard polyimides.
