It resists substrate migration like polystyrene and nitrocellulose. *It has low volatility and its use is recommended in anti- fogging formulae for automobile industry. *It does not modify the softening point of rigid compounds. *It is an excellent dispersing agent suitable for pigments and sponge agents. *It offers excellent light and heat stability. It gives an ideal effect when combined with Barium- Cadmium and Calcium- Zinc stabilizers. In addition, it also synergistically works with lead and tin organo- metallic compounds. As an example, a formula with a Ba-Cd stabilizer level of 1.5 phr and KALFLEX-13 shows the same resilience to heat and light than a formula having only a stabilizer level of 3 phr. * Epoxidized plasticizers are also useful in other areas such as alkyd resins modifiers, metallic primer stabilizers, nitrocellulose varnish modifiers.
