The material may offer excellent dimension stability, strength, stiffness and creep resistance up to high temperature due to its high glass transition temperature of 217°C. Beside enhanced flow the material offers enhanced metal adhesion in Electroplated applications. The material is opaque. Effective June, 2007 this grade will no longer be supported with biocompatibility information and should not be used for medical applications which require biocompatibility. Alternative grade HU2400. This inherently flame retardant resin is KTW, WRAS, ACS, NSF-61 and W270 certified and is US FDA and European Food Contact approved. ULTEM PW2100 resin offers specific colors designed and certified for use in potable water applications.

It features excellent mechanical, electrical, and dimensional properties at high temperatures. The material also offers very good chemical resistance for an amorphous material and is inherently flame retardant, offering UL94 V0 and 5V ratings and aerospace FAR 25.853 compliance. The material is RoHS-compliant, and the natural, uncolored material is halogen-free according to standards IEC 61249-2-21, IPC 4101E, and JEDEC JS709B. Compliance needs to be checked case by case for colored variants. The base material is transparent amber-colored but is also available in custom colors, both transparent and opaque. ISCC+-certified renewable bio-based solutions are available for this grade via differentiated color nomenclature. The material also offers good hydrolytic resistance. The material is opaque and available in natural and black color. ProPolymers PEI 2300 is a 30% glass filled polyetherimide that offers a superior combination of mechanical, electrical, and thermal properties. PEI is inherently flame resistant with low smoke emission. It provides outstanding processability and good chemical resistance.

Afton Plastics CRS5301 is a high performance material that exhibits high strength and heat resistant properties. Glass-filled grades provide improved rigidity and dimensional stability.

The Nanovia PEI filament, based on Ultem 1010 plastics, allows for high heat resistance and thermal stability. Nanovia PEI is resistant to autoclave operation, sterilization cycles, and adapted for tooling able to resist high temperatures. It is perfectly suited for industrial applications in high temperature environments and composite tooling.
