It is readily biodegradable, has a lower tendency to form gel compared to longer-chain alcohol ethoxylates, and is listed on Safer Choice. The final surfactant choice, however, would be formulation-dependent.

Lutensol® XP 79 is capable of producing very high initial foam, making it ideal for institutional cleaning and sanitation. It is available in both 85% active product and 85% aqueous solution forms. In solid form, it is slightly yellow, while in liquid form, it is slightly pasty. This product is useful in many applications, such as textile processing, metal degreasing, transportation cleaners, vehicle care, and industrial, institutional, and household cleaners. It is considered a great detergent due to its superb ability to penetrate, wet, solubilize, disperse, and emulsify.

T-Det® A 91-6 is an anhydrous liquid surface-active agent produced by the reaction of an alcohol with 6 moles of ethylene oxide. It is an excellent detergent for textile processing, metal degreasing, clay soils, fire fighting, and industrial, institutional, and household cleaners due to its superb ability to penetrate, wet, solubilize, disperse, and emulsify, making it a great detergent.

Lansurf AE37 is a nonionic surfactant with compatibility across soaps, anionic, cationic, and other nonionic surfactants. Similar to others in the series, it displays effective oil/water and water/oil emulsification, wetting, and detergency.
