KURARAY POVAL™ 3-85 by Kuraray is a water-soluble, partially saponified, odorless polyvinyl alcohol. Its aqueous solution can be added to polymer emulsions already stabilized with polyvinyl alcohol which affects the extension of the open time, setting speed and rheology. It is manufactured by alcoholysis of polyvinyl acetate. It is designed for use in remoistenable adhesives. KURARAY POVAL™ 3-85 complies with EU Directive 67/548/EC.

KURARAY POVAL™ 25-88 KL by Kuraray is a water-soluble polyvinyl alcohol (PVOH) specialty grade manufactured by alcoholysis of polyvinyl acetate. It exhibits high molecular weight, good cohesion, good adhesion to fibers-, fillers- and pigments. It has a good affinity to hydrophobic substances such as polyester, polystyrene etc. as well as a good water solubility. KURARAY POVAL™ 25-88 KL is recommended for adhesives.

KURARAY POVAL™ 32-88 is a partially saponified polyvinyl alcohol (PVOH) grade by Kuraray. It possesses good cohesion and adhesion to fibers, fillers and pigments. It offers good bonding strength and pigment binding capacity. It is suitable for modification of emulsion adhesives and remoistenable adhesives in the paper processing industry. Aqueous solution of KURARAY POVAL™ 32-88 can be added to polymer emulsion which is already stabilized with polyvinyl alcohol to extend the open time, increase setting speed and influence the rheology. It is recommended for use in postage stamps and labels. Complies with EU Directive 67/548/EC regulation.

KURARAY POVAL™ 3-80 (Old name: PVA 403) by Kuraray is polyvinyl alcohol with colloid-chemical and excellent film-forming properties, and a high tensile strength. KURARAY POVAL™ 3-80 is used as a component of remoistenable adhesives, e.g. for postage stamps. In addition, the polymers are highly elastic and resistant to heat and organic solvents. Above all, the range of applications is based on the chemical properties, especially on the reactivity of the numerous hydroxyl groups with substances such as reactive resins, aldehydes and other reactive compounds.

Elvanol™ T-25 by Kuraray is copolymer polyvinyl alcohol with high film strength, abstrasion resistance and excellent adhesion. Elvanol™ T-25 is used as a warp size for spun yarns including acetate, acrylic, cotton, wool, nylon, and polyester spun and such blends as polyester/cotton, polyester/wool and polyester/rayon.

KURARAY POVAL™ 4-88 by Kuraray is polyvinyl alcohol manufactured by alcoholysis of polyvinyl acetate. It is a water-soluble, partially saponified, odorless polymer. It shows resistance against organic solvents and dispersing power. KURARAY POVAL™ 44-88 is used in water-based pressure-sensitive labels and remoistenable adhesives. It is designed for paper processing industry and films.

KURARAY POVAL™ 26-88 is a partially saponified polyvinyl alcohol (PVOH) grade by Kuraray. It is suitable for modification of emulsion adhesives and remoistenable adhesives in the paper processing industry. It possesses good cohesion and adhesion to fibers, fillers and pigments. It offers good bonding strength and pigment binding capacity. Aqueous solution of KURARAY POVAL™ 26-88 can be added to polymer emulsion which is already stabilized with polyvinyl alcohol to extend the open time, increase setting speed and influence the rheology.

KURARAY POVAL™ 3-85 S4 by Kuraray is a water-soluble, polyvinyl alcohol (PVOH) grade manufactured by alcoholysis of polyvinyl acetate. It exhibits high molecular weight and good cohesion. It possesses good adhesion to fibers-, fillers- and pigments. It provides extension of the open time, increase of the setting speed and influence on the rheology. KURARAY POVAL™ 3-85 S4 is recommended for the modification of emulsion adhesives.
