It delivers equal or better cathodic protection than zinc dust and provides an additional barrier of protection.

Corodur® PR 02 is underlay one-component polyurethane paint with iron mica content designed to create an intermediate layer between the basic anti-corrosion paint (eg Corodur) and the top enamel. The primer must be dry and clean before applying the substrate. The formed paint film creates an effective barrier against the penetration of aggressive components of the atmosphere. APCO APCO 245-1027 Universal Primer is a proven, fast drying, thin film, non-lifting universal alkyd primer. Provides tight barrier protection to properly prepared steel surfaces. Quick dry times ensure high production rates and limited bottlenecks in the paint booth. Can be used under high performance topcoats containing hot ketone solvents. Can also be used as a barrier coat over conventional coatings that would normally be attacked by stronger solvents.

Waynflash™ 115 is a liquid flash rust inhibitor that is based on WPC’s nitrite free chemistry. It is a highly effective inhibitor against flash rusting on ferrous substrates (such as galvanized steel) during the aqueous paint phase. Typical use levels range from 0.25 – 1.0% based upon total formula weight. It can be used in any water based primer or DTM system. Waynflash™ 115 exhibits good paint stability and can be incorporated at any stage of paint manufacturing. It is both HAPS and APEO free.

Thurmalox® 884-082 Green is a heat-resistant modified silicone coating designed primarily for temperature indicating applications requiring a two-stage irreversible color change. When applied to refinery and petrochemical process equipment which operate at elevated temperatures the color change provided by Thurmalox 884-082 indicates vessel overheating due to failure of refractory linings, system malfunction or bypassing of hot gasses. Thurmalox 884-082 is suitable for maximum continuous operating temperatures up to 300°F (149°C).
