FoamStar® SI 2280 belongs to a family of products specifically designed as defoamers for water-based coating systems and pigment concentrates. FoamStar® SI 2280 is particularly tailored for water-based acrylic systems, low-PVC-dispersion paints, and alkyd/polyurethane systems.

Efka® FA 4620 is a low-molecular-weight dispersing agent suitable for use in solvent- and water-based systems. It is very efficient at wetting and dispersing fillers, extenders, and inorganic pigments. In clear, brownish liquid form, Efka® FA 4620 serves as a versatile dispersing agent.

Efka® PB 2020 is a defoamer that accelerates defoaming in solvent-based coatings. It eliminates foaming and blistering caused by various factors, such as wood or paper substrates or during pumping, rolling, flooding, or airless spraying. This defoamer is particularly suitable for nitrocellulose lacquers, acid-curable wood finishes, two-pack polyurethane lacquers, and cold-cured epoxy resin systems.

Efka® PB 2010 is a highly efficient defoamer designed for solvent-based coatings, particularly high-gloss top coats. Its universal nature allows its use for semi-matte and matte coats with a wide range of solvent-based binders. Efka® FA 4600 is an anti-settling agent for non-aqueous coatings, preventing sedimentation and agglomeration of even heavy pigments. is in a colorless to yellowish/reddish liquid form, Efka® FA 4600 is easily applicable and contributes to maintaining the stability of coatings.

Efka® SI 2723 acts as a defoamer, developed for the rapid de-aeration of solvent-free polyurethane and epoxy compounds. It yields excellent results in flooring applications, ensuring foam- and blister-free self-leveling coatings. Additionally, it acts as a leveling agent, contributing to a smooth coating surface, all while maintaining a low odor. Its chemical nature consists of a solution of defoaming substances containing silicone.

Efka® SI 2721 serves as a defoamer, demonstrating excellence in the production stage and during application without causing curtain rupture in curtain coatings. Specially developed for UV- or electron-beam-curable systems, its chemical nature involves a solution of defoaming substances. In its physical form, it is a clear, colorless liquid.

Efka® PX 4731 is a versatile product, acts as a dispersant and defoamer in applications like radiation curable ink, solventborne ink, and coil coating. Efka® SI 2022 is a silicone-based defoamer suitable for both solvent-based and solvent-free coatings. It prevents the formation of foam and blisters during manufacturing and application. It is recommended for two-pack systems based on polyurethane and epoxy resins, especially suited for polyurethane-based curtain coating finishes, and baking enamels based on alkyd resins or saturated polyesters.

FoamStar® SI 2299 is a highly effective deaerator and defoamer suitable for spray coating, brush, and roller applications. It excels in airless/air mix spraying, preventing microfoam efficiently. Particularly well-suited for airless/air mix spraying, it also performs admirably in brush applications and, to some extent, in roller applications, effectively knocking down the foam and eliminating microfoam. FoamStar® ST 2438 is a 100% active defoamer compound combining a hyper-branched FoamStar polymer with high-end organo-silicones. It delivers fast foam knockdown with high efficiency. This defoamer does not reduce the gloss of high gloss paints and coatings, making it effective in difficult-to-defoam high gloss formulations. It ensures fast bubble-break versus conventional defoamers, effectiveness against microfoam, no separation or settling, very good persistence, and suitability for deep and clear/neutral bases.

AFCONA 3280 is a special modified polysiloxane that is soluble in aliphatic and aromatic hydrocarbons, esters and ketones, but insoluble in water. It offers slip, defoaming, and improvement of surface characteristics without hurting intercoat adhesion. Additionally, it offers better hot water resistance than other polyether modified polysiloxanes.

AFCONA 3773 is a leveling and surface tension reduction agent for non-aqueous industrial coatings. It is an acrylic-modified fluorocarbon designed to provide anti-crater, substrate wetting, and leveling performance. Compared to AFCONA 3777, AFCONA 3773 has better compatibility and leveling performance. It offers a well-balanced combination of defoaming and leveling performance, making it an ideal choice for use as a universal leveling agent.

AFCONA 2050 is a strong defoamer for most solvent-based coatings. AFCONA 2050 offers very strong defoaming and anti-foam performance with good compatibility in many resin systems. It is suitable for solvent-based coatings, printing inks and thermosetting resin systems. The product eliminates foam and blistering, regardless of whether the air bubbles are caused by the substrate.

AFCONA 2024 is a strong defoamer with leveling performance for all solvent-based coatings. It is a unique defoamer. It has very strong defoaming and anti-foam performances with additional good leveling. This is in contrary with most of the other defoamers, which influence the leveling performance negatively.

AFCONA 3777 is an anti-crater, substrate wetting and leveling agent for solvent-based coatings. It is the 1st generation of fluorocarbon modified polyacrylic. Recommended as non-silicone leveling agent where silicone is not permitted due to intercoat adhesion problems. However, we highly recommend a combination with a suitable polysiloxane for better overall performance.

AFCONA 3585 is a silicone-based leveling, substrate wetting and anti-crater agent for aqueous coatings that does not influence intercoat adhesion. It is an organically modified polysiloxane for aqueous systems. AFCONA 3585 offers very strong surface tension reduction and good compatibility performance.

AFCONA 3034 is an additive designed to reduce surface tension, improve substrate wetting, and provide anti-crater performance and leveling, including vertical leveling. Its fluorocarbon modification gives it a very low surface tension, further enhancing its performance in anti-crater properties, substrate wetting, and leveling.

AFCONA 3030 is a slip and leveling additive for both solvent and water-based systems. It is a polyether-modified polysiloxane and is recommended as a slip and leveling agent to prevent Bénard Cells and provide leveling and prevent craters. It can be used in both water- and solvent-based applications, though it may stabilize foam in water-based coatings.

AFCONA 3522 is an additive to improve the surface characteristics of waterbased coatings. It is a waterbased emulsion of an organically modified polysiloxane, with the active ingredient being a hydrophobic polymer that gives water resistance and slip performance to the coating after drying. This product also offers low foam stabilization. AFCONA 3522 is recommended for use in all types of waterbased coatings.

AFCONA 3779 is a leveling agent for solvent-based coatings. It is a pure polyacrylic leveling agent. Polyacrylics are well known for flow and leveling performance. AFCONA 3779 also acts as defoamer in most coating systems. It provides anti-flooding and floating properties, works as a defoamer and deareator.

AFCONA 2028 is a moderate defoamer that is easy to incorporate. AFCONA 2028 prevents the formation of foam and blisters during the manufacturing and application of solvent-based wood finishes.AFCONA 2028 is particularly suitable as a defoamer for curtain coatings and may also be used during production. When foam causes a problem during packaging, AFCONA 2028 may be added slowly while stirring, which will speed up the bubble-breaking process. For this application, AFCONA 2028 is more user-friendly and easier to handle than AFCONA 2022 because it is less sensitive to crater formation and other well-known defoamer side effects.

AFCONA 2020 is a very strong defoamer suitable for most solvent-based coatings, printing inks, and thermosetting resin systems. It eliminates foam and blistering, regardless of the source of the air bubbles. However, it is not suitable for transparent, high-gloss clear topcoats.

AFCONA 2270 is a moderate defoamer with minimal side effects that prevents the formation of foam and blisters during manufacturing and application. It offers good compatibility with most resin systems and is suitable for systems ranging from low to high polarity. It is recommended for medium-viscosity coatings applied using brush and conventional spray application.

AFCONA 2038 is a highly compatible defoamer that does not cause in-can haziness. It prevents the formation of foam and blisters during the manufacturing and application of solvent-based wood finishes. This defoamer has excellent compatibility properties, making it especially suitable for use in clear coatings and high gloss coatings. Additionally, it is suitable for use in applications where dry film transparency is essential, such as when applying thick clear coatings by conventional spraying.

AFCONA 3570 is a leveling and anti-crater agent for aqueous coatings with a low foam stabilizing effect. It is a fluorocarbon modified polyacrylic, neutralized with a suitable amine, and dissolved in water. It is suitable for all water-based paints and is recommended for use in all kinds of water-based coatings with a pH value of 8.0 or higher.

AFCONA 2040 is a moderate defoamer with minimal side effects that prevents the formation of foam and blisters during manufacturing and application. It offers a combination of good defoaming and compatibility with most resin systems. It is recommended for medium-viscosity applications applied by spray and brush, and is particularly suitable for systems ranging from low polarity to high polarity. AFCONA 2035 is recommended for brush and conventional spray applications.

AFCONA 2035 is a moderate defoamer that minimizes side effects, prevents the formation of foam and blisters during manufacturing and application, and offers good defoaming and compatibility with most resin systems. It is recommended for medium-viscosity applications applied by brush and conventional spray methods, and is suitable for systems ranging from low to high polarity.

AFCONA 2018 is a silicone-free defoamer that is recommended for systems where in-can transparency is important. It prevents the entrapment of air during processing steps such as stirring or pumping, and functions well during the application of paints and lacquers. AFCONA 2018 is well-suited for solvent-based wood finishes where foaming is a problem when applied by spraying.

AFCONA 3758 is a leveling and flow control agent for solvent-based coatings with anti-crater properties. AFCONA 3758 is a special modified polyacrylic polymer. It reduces drastically surface tension of organic coating systems. This, together with good compatibility in most solvent-based systems and with minimal foam stabilizing effect, makes it very effective as an anti-crater and flow control agent for all solvent-based coatings.

AFCONA 3236 is an additive designed to provide slip and leveling, as well as good defoaming performance. It is an alkyl-modified polysiloxane that offers excellent slip and leveling properties. Unlike other organically modified polysiloxanes, AFCONA 3236 acts as a defoamer and does not stabilize foam in most systems, making it suitable for foam-sensitive applications such as floor coatings and high-build systems.
