It is also known as zinc phosphate-dihydrate and is characterized by a narrow particle size distribution, with an upper particle size limit of 10 microns and a mean particle size of 5 microns. This pigment is highly versatile and serves as a standard corrosion inhibitor for most high-performance resin systems, including vinyl, chlorinated rubbers, and epoxies. It is especially recommended for high acid-value resins, catalyzed baking systems, and vinylidene chloride latexes. In addition, HALOX® Zinc Phosphate is an ideal choice for thin film applications (less than 1 mil or 25 microns). It meets the ASTM D 6280-98 specification for zinc phosphate pigment type I and is widely used in the industry.

HALOX® CW-291 is a white, non-refractive, corrosion-inhibiting pigment used in protective coating systems. It is not recommended for use in immersion or semi-immersion environments. HALOX® CW-291 has the lowest oil absorption of all our borosilicate products and is recommended for use in protective coating systems based on alkyd technology. Because of its low oil absorption, HALOX® CW-291 is specifically suggested for use in high-solids, medium-gloss topcoats, DTM (direct-to-metal) finishes, and self-priming systems. HALOX® CW-291 is compliant with ASTM D 4288-83, specification for calcium borosilicate pigment type 1, class B.

HALOX® SZP-395 is a white, non-refractive, corrosion-inhibiting pigment used in protective coating systems. HALOX® SZP-395 is the most efficient and versatile corrosion-inhibiting pigment. It is recommended for use in a wide variety of resin systems and is equally effective in such resins as alkyds (both traditional and high solids), epoxies, latexes, water-reducible alkyds, high acid value resins, catalyzed baking systems, and vinylidene chloride latexes. The fine particle size and low oil absorption of HALOX® SZP-395 make it the pigment of choice in thin film applications (<1 mil or 25 microns).

It is recommended for use in a wide variety of resin systems, such as alkyds (both traditional and high solids), epoxies, latexes, water-reducible alkyds, high acid value resins, catalyzed baking systems, and vinylidene chloride latexes. Its fine particle size and low oil absorption make HALOX® SZP-391 the preferred pigment for thin-film applications (<1 mil or 25 microns).

HALOX® BW-111 is a white, non-refractive pigment used as a corrosion inhibitor in protective coating systems. It is specifically recommended for use in solvent-borne epoxy systems, including both conventional and high-solids coatings. The recommended loading levels for HALOX® BW-111 range from 5–10% based on the total formula weight for conventional systems and from 10–20% based on the total formula weight for higher solids systems.

HALOX® CW-22/221 is a white, non-refractive, corrosion-inhibiting pigment used in protective coating systems. It is not recommended for use in immersion or semi-immersion environments. HALOX® CW-22/221 is recommended for use in primer systems based on traditional solvent alkyd technology. It can effectively be formulated into such resins as medium- and long-oil alkyds. HALOX® CW-22/221 is compliant with ASTM D7089, which specifies the requirements for calcium borosilicate pigments for use in paints.

HALOX® CZ-170 is a versatile pigment used in protective coating systems to inhibit corrosion and tannin staining. It is a great replacement for zinc oxide and can be used in high-gloss and thin-film applications due to its finer particle size and narrow distribution. With a gloss of over 75 units at 60° and a film thickness of less than 1.0 mils, or 25 microns, HALOX® CZ-170 is a great option for a variety of coating needs. It can be used to protect both metal and wood substrates, making it a universal option for coating systems.

HALOX® SZP-391 JM is an efficient and versatile corrosion-inhibiting pigment. It is a white, nonrefractive, corrosion-inhibiting pigment used in protective coating systems. HALOX® SZP-391 JM is equally effective in such resins as alkyds (both traditional and high solids), epoxies, latexes, water-reducible alkyds, high acid value resins, catalyzed baking systems, and vinylidene chloride-based latexes and is recommended for use in a wide variety of resin systems.

HALOX® CW-314 is a heavy metal-free, non-toxic, anti-corrosive pigment designed for use in waterborne and solvent-borne protective coating systems. It is particularly suitable for systems where 21 CFR 175.300 approval or compliance with ANSI or NSF standards is required. HALOX® CW-314 is highly effective in improving the infrared (IR) reflectance and thermal emissivity of elastomeric roof coatings. It enhances the total solar reflectance (TSR) while maintaining dirt pick-up resistance (DPUR) and preventing mildew growth. It can be used alone or in combination with other non-toxic corrosion inhibitors and mineral pigments in the formulation of environmentally friendly specialty paints.

HALOX® BW-191 is a white, non-refractive, corrosion-inhibiting pigment used in protective coating systems. It is recommended for use in most waterborne systems, such as latexes and water reducibles, and due to its lower oil absorption, it can also be effective in anticorrosive high-solids coatings. On the other hand, HALOX® BW-111 is recommended for use in solventborne epoxy systems, both conventional and high-solids.

HALOX® CW-491 is a white, non-refractive, heavy metal-free pigment used as a corrosion inhibitor in protective coating systems. It is versatile and can be used with a variety of solvent and waterborne resin systems. The recommended loading levels for HALOX® CW-491 vary depending on the type of system used. For waterborne systems, the recommended loading levels range from 5–8% based on the total formula weight, while for solventborne systems, the recommended loading levels range from 7–12% based on the total formula weight.

HALOX® Z-PLEX® 250 is a white, non-refractive, corrosion-inhibiting pigment used in various protective coatings. It is classified as Zn3(PO4)2.2H2O (dihydrate) and is compliant with ASTM D6280, Specification for Zinc Phosphate Pigment Type I. The recommended loading levels for HALOX® Z-PLEX® 250 range from 5–10% based on the total formula weight.

HALOX® SW-111 is a white, nonrefractive, corrosion-inhibiting pigment used in protective coating systems. HALOX® SW-111 is recommended for use in most water-borne and solvent-borne epoxies. HALOX® SW-111 can be formulated into most water-reducible resin systems and corrosion-resistant caulks and sealants.

HALOX® Z-PLEX 111 is a corrosion-inhibiting pigment used in protective coating systems that is highly versatile and more cost-effective than commercial zinc phosphate. HALOX® Z-PLEX 111 can provide a higher level of corrosion protection than commercial zinc phosphate when used as an equal-weight replacement.

HALOX® 700 is a white, non-refractive, corrosion-inhibiting pigment used in protective coatings. It provides extended protection in solvent-based and water-based epoxy and urethane coatings through the combination of zinc and aluminum phosphates. When used in alkyd and acrylic coatings, it is recommended to use it in combination with HALOX® Organic Corrosion Inhibitors for optimal performance.

HALOX® CW-2230 is a white, non-refractive, corrosion-inhibiting pigment used in protective coating systems. It is not recommended for use in immersion or semi-immersion environments. HALOX® CW-2230 has the highest borate content and can be effectively formulated into resins such as medium and long-oil alkyds, epoxy-esters, and modified alkyd systems. HALOX® CW-2230 is compliant with ASTM D 4288-83, specification for calcium borosilicate pigment type 2.

Ti-Pure™ R-960 Coatings is a rutile titanium dioxide pigment manufactured by the chloride process. It is designed for use in applications requiring outstanding chalk resistance, gloss retention, and tint retention. In addition to excellent exterior durability, Ti-Pure™ R-960 provides very good dispersion with excellent hiding power and color acceptance.

DCL 7019 Quinacridone Red Violet, PV.19 is a high-performance pigment developed for use in industrial coatings, automotive refinishing, and coil coatings. This reddish-violet shade is also suitable for plastic and ink applications, and is a close match to Clariant Red E5B. It is used in various high-end paint and plastic applications where excellent fastness properties are required, and is also FDA-approved.

DCL 3GMX-SI Bismuth Vanadate, PY.184 is a bright, green-shaded yellow pigment with stir-in dispersing properties. DCC Yellow 3GMX-SI has the highest color strength, gloss, and opacity versus traditional grades. DCC Yellow 3GMX-SI is especially suitable for automotive, industrial, and decorative paint applications.

DCL 2603R Medium Yellow, PY.34 is a silica-encapsulated medium chrome yellow pigment used for thermoplastic road marking applications. It has excellent resistance properties, good lightfastness, weather fastness, and heat stability, which make it suitable for a range of industrial and professional inks, coatings, and plastics.

DCL 5090 Phthalocyanine Blue, PB.15:3 is an easy to disperse, economical green shade phthalocyanine blue pigment. It is FDA-approved (Section 178-3297) and exhibits good overall resistance properties, lightfastness, weather fastness, and heat stability. This makes it a reliable and versatile choice for a wide range of coatings.

DCL 2194 Benzimidazolone Yellow, PY.194 is a bright, green-shaded yellow with very good light and weather fastness, especially in deep shades. This product has relatively high opacity, good flow properties, good overall resistance properties, and good bleed characteristics. It is mainly used in plastics, high-end coatings, and inks.

DCL KO886 Molybdate Orange, PR.104 is a blue-shaded silica-encapsulated moly orange pigment with superior heat and chemical resistance for high-end industrial coating applications. This product is restricted to industrial and professional inks, coatings, plastics, and roadmarking (subject to regional legislation).

DCL Black 444 is a jet-black powder produced by high-temperature calcination. It has good UV and visible opacity, is chemically inert, heat-resistant, and stable to ultraviolet light. It is non-bleeding and non-migratory, has exceptional durability and hiding power, is generally used in applications where the absence of chromium is desired, and is resistant to heat, light, and weather. It is compatible with most resin systems and polymers and is non-warping, and is used in applications such as liquid and powder coatings, inks, dispersions, and plastics.

DCL 8318M Syn Micronized Black Iron Oxide, PBk.11, is the yellow shade in DCL's micronized black iron oxide range, and is FDA-approved (Section 178.3297). It finds applications in plastics such as PVC and PE, as well as in decorative and industrial coatings.

DCL CARMINE B Naphthol Red, PR.5 is a bright blue-shaded red pigment used primarily in offset and water based inks. It also finds use in decorative and industrial paints. It also exhibits good overall resistance properties, lightfastness, weather fastness, and heat stability.
