Tinuvin® 5060 is a solvent-free, liquid blend featuring a 2-(2-hydroxyphenyl)-benzotriazole UV absorber (UVA) and a non-basic hindered amine light stabilizer (HALS). It is tailored to meet the high cost, performance, and durability requirements of exterior solventborne industrial and decorative coatings, particularly those suited for oxidative drying and acid-catalyzed systems. Key features and benefits include a synergistic UVA/HALS combination for solvent-based coatings and excellent photo-protection against loss of gloss, cracking, and color change. Notably, being a non-basic HALS, it allows formulating with acidic materials, including acid catalysts and acidic pigments.
