THYON SR625 is a medium molecular weight alkali soluble solid resin for water based pigment dispersions and overprint varnishes.

Radglo® STX-10 is Chartreuse in color with ultra-violet responsive fluorescent toner - free of formaldehyde - for water-based formulations. A dyed/pigmented polyester resin.

Deuteron VT 920 is suitable for use as a thickener and stabilizing additive for all aqueous coating systems and technical applications such as waterthinnable lacquers, dispersion paints and plasters, glues, printing inks, silicon paints as well as pigments and filler preparations. Deuteron VT 920 prevents settling of pigments and fillers and separation of the liquid phase during storage. Application is made easier through pronounced structural viscosity. The viscosity sinks when the shear force is increased. It rapidly returns to the starting value when the shear force is removed. Nitrocellulose DLX 8/13 is a diced wood pulp-based film forming resin by Nobel NC. It is extremely soluble in alcohol. Used in flexographic and gravure inks, wood coating (film coatings, buffing finishes, brush coatings, primers and spray lacquer). Also used in metal coating (coatings for foil), paper coating (coatings for calendars and film coatings) and leather coating (aqueous emulsions). Nitrocellulose DLX 8/13 has low content of nitrogen.

Deuteron SO 300 is a fine dispersion of an elastomer in water. It imparts coatings with a “soft touch” surface, even if the binder is not an especially soft or elastic type. At the same time it acts as a matting agent. The effect depends on the dosage and the system’s other components, particularly the binder. Deuteron SO 300 is temperature resistant up to 160 °C.The small particle size makes the product suitable for thin-film applications. Deuteron SO 300 contains no waxes and thus does not negatively affect the recoatability.In 2-component lacquers, the inherent OH-functionality allows the product to be cross-linked in the coating matrix. This can lead to higher mechanical and chemical resistances, which are not attainable by conventional means of adjusting “soft touch” and matting.Application Deuteron SO 300 is intended for all water-based lacquers, coatings and printing inks which have to offer a special feel and matting up to a “soft touch”. ADD-2525 is a highly compatible silicone-based foam control additive specially formulated in emulsion form. It is particularly designed for water- and glycol-based pigment concentrates and universal colorants as well as water-based inks. ADD-2525 also finds use in low-PVC emulsion paints (glossy) and water-based clear varnishes.

Zirmel 1000 Stabilized Potassium Zirconium Carbonate is a highly effective ammonia-free crosslinker. It crosslinks with all commonly used binders to improve the surface structures strength by reducing the amount of weakly bonded particles available on the paper surface. This certain characteristic is of value to coated papers and offset printing. As well Zirmel 1000 crosslinks instantly to the binder, offering a rapid cure time in the drying section of the paper process, it is compatible with practically all coating and press formulations.

Luxfer MEL Technologies Ammonium Zirconium Carbonate is a crosslinker suitable for coated paper, paperboard and water based inks Ammonium Zirconium Carbonate is a clear, aqueous alkaline solution of stabilized ammonium zirconium carbonate, available in multiple concentrations. It can be used in Paper, Paperboard and water inks.

EDAPLAN LA 451 reduces the surface tension of aqueous systems without increasing the foam formation. Thus substrate wetting, leveling and gloss are improved. EDAPLAN LA 451 is free of silicone and has no adverse effects on recoatability. This additive is compatible with all common resin systems.

Ultrafine™ 1WLS A is a premium polytetrafluoroethylene fine powder used to improve surface properties of printing inks and coatings. Ultrafine 1WLS A is designed for lubricity, abrasion and heat resistance and may be used in combination with other waxes for the most effective balance of cost and performance. Ultrafine 1WLS A is characterized by a slightly broader particle size distribution. Recommended usage level is 1 to 4%.

ADD-3230 is a silicone-based surface additive to improve surface properties in all solvent-based, solvent-free and aqueous systems. It is specially used in systems in which solvent-free additives are requested or where a requirement for a special solvent exists. ADD-3230 can be used in coatings and printing inks.

Pigment Red 57:1 is recommended for Paints, Printing ink, Plastics, Rubber, Cement Color, Water base paints & ink.

Michem® Guard 349 is designed to impart rub resistance, block resistance and matting properties to aqueous paints, coatings and inks.

In aqueous systems, such as emulsion paints and plasters, the use of Deuteron XG prevents a deposition of the pigments and extenders as well as a separation of the liquid phase during storage. The applicability of the paints is improved. Deuteron XG is compatible with most binders and thickeners which are customary in the paint industry.Deuteron XG is insoluble in most organic liquids. The product is fully soluble in water and mixtures of organic liquids with a water proportion of at least 60 %. Pre-wetting of Deuteron XG with glycols at a ratio of 1 : 1 accelerates the swelling- and dissolution process. Aqueous solutions of Deuteron XG show a high pseudoplasticity. High rate of shear lowers the viscosity. Reducing the shear rate increases viscosity again. Solutions of Deuteron XG are stable regarding the pH-value and temperature. There is almost no change in stability from pH 2 – 12. The temperature hardly has any influence on the viscosity of a preparation with Deuteron XG.Application All aqueous systems, such as dispersion paints (emulsion paints) and adhesives, emulsion plasters, aqueous insulating primers, glues, slurries, water soluble lacquers and printing inks. back
