Toro fodder radish is late maturing variety from Columbia Seeds® that forms a long slender tap . The color of the flowers are violet. Toro can also be used to help control nematodes. It has been shown to help reduce Trichodorus and Paratrichodorus nematodes in potato rotations. Toro is commonly used to help break up hard clay pans in soil profile and as a green manure crop. Due to its very late flowering, it is ideally suited as a green manure crop. Toro is not winter hardy and will be damaged by the first frost. Do not let product go to seed. You will need to mow, chemically spray or do some tillage work to prevent seed heads from forming.

Respect offers the highest level of resistance to Heteroderaschachtii and H. Betae ( White beet cyst eelworm and yellow sugar beet nematodes). It has a deep, well developed root system that helps improve soil. Respect has rapid initial development and can produce a high dry matter yield. Respect is commonly used to help break up hard clay pans in soil. Fodder radish has a rapid initial development and can generate high dry matter yields especially with generous supply of nitrogen. The crop can withstand the first ground frosts, thus making it to continue to grow for extended periods.
