FoamStar® SI 2280 belongs to a family of products specifically designed as defoamers for water-based coating systems and pigment concentrates. One standout characteristic of these defoamers is their ease of incorporation under low-shear conditions without causing adverse effects on the final paint film. Another notable feature is their high-shear stability, making them exceptionally suitable for use in high-shear processes like grinding, stirring, and pumping. FoamStar® SI 2280 is particularly tailored for water-based acrylic systems, low-PVC-dispersion paints, and alkyd/polyurethane systems.

Efka® PB 2020 is a defoamer that accelerates defoaming in solvent-based coatings. It eliminates foaming and blistering caused by various factors, such as wood or paper substrates or during pumping, rolling, flooding, or airless spraying. This defoamer is particularly suitable for nitrocellulose lacquers, acid-curable wood finishes, two-pack polyurethane lacquers, and cold-cured epoxy resin systems.

Efka® PB 2010 is a highly efficient defoamer designed for solvent-based coatings, particularly high-gloss top coats. Its universal nature allows its use for semi-matte and matte coats with a wide range of solvent-based binders. Silicone-free, it has no negative impact on inter-coat adhesion, making it suitable for primers, sealers, and various solvent-based systems, providing high defoaming performance while maintaining excellent compatibility.

Efka® SI 2722 S is a versatile additive serving as a solvent-free defoamer and leveling agent compatible with polyurethanes (PU) and epoxies (EP).

Efka® PB 2021 is a silicone-free defoamer for various coating systems. It prevents air entrapment during processing steps like stirring and pumping and contributes to a smooth surface during the application of paints and lacquers. The chemical nature involves a solution of defoaming substances.

Efka® PB 2001 is a silicone-free defoamer tailored for non-aqueous coatings. It is especially suited for highly viscous coatings based on 2-pack epoxy, unsaturated polyester, and PUR systems. The blend of vinyl polymers in organic solvents ensures effective defoaming, making it suitable for applications like nitrocellulose lacquers, acid-curable wood coatings, and fast-drying formulations applied on curtain coaters.

Efka® SI 2723 acts as a defoamer, developed for the rapid de-aeration of solvent-free polyurethane and epoxy compounds. It yields excellent results in flooring applications, ensuring foam- and blister-free self-leveling coatings. Additionally, it acts as a leveling agent, contributing to a smooth coating surface, all while maintaining a low odor. Its chemical nature consists of a solution of defoaming substances containing silicone.

Efka® SI 2022 is a silicone-based defoamer suitable for both solvent-based and solvent-free coatings. It prevents the formation of foam and blisters during manufacturing and application. It is recommended for two-pack systems based on polyurethane and epoxy resins, especially suited for polyurethane-based curtain coating finishes, and baking enamels based on alkyd resins or saturated polyesters.

Efka® SL 3236 functions as a slip and leveling agent, being an organically modified polysiloxane soluble in various solvents. It improves general surface characteristics and is recommended for non-aqueous coatings like baking enamels, acid-curable or polyurethane wood finishes.

FoamStar® SI 2293 is an excellent defoamer designed for high-quality emulsion paints based on pure acrylates and acrylic copolymers. It is recommended for wood coatings based on acrylic and polyurethane emulsions applied by various methods. The defoamer is effective in emulsion and suspension polymerization during the manufacture of polyvinyl chloride, vinyl acetate, and acrylic emulsions.

FoamStar® SI 2292 is a defoamer and de-aerating agent suitable for aqueous coatings and coatings containing co-solvents. It is especially effective for wood coatings, highly compatible, and consists of a blend of specially modified polydimethyl siloxane. It is recommended for emulsion paints based on pure acrylates and acrylic copolymers, as well as for wood coatings based on acrylates and polyurethane emulsions.

FoamStar® ST 2454 is a defoamer highly recommended for systems based on PU-emulsions, amine-neutralized resins, and aqueous 2-pack PU coatings. It is especially efficient in PU emulsions, hybrid systems, and PE solutions, typically without causing a reduction of gloss or transparency. It can be used in clear and top coats.

TEGO® Antifoam 2291 is a silicone-free, self-emulsifying antifoam concentrate without any silica. This APEO-free organic antifoam is designed for use as an anti-foaming agent in waterborne adhesive formulations, aligning with eco-friendly labeling claims. Categorized under CASE ingredients within foam control additives.

AEROSIL® R 202 is a hydrophobic fumed silica grade, treated with a polydimethylsiloxane. This product can be used in defoamer formulations for sedimentation stabilization and due to its high hydrophobicity as defoaming component.

AEROSIL® R 972 is hydrophobic fumed silica grade treated with DDS (Dichlordimethylsilane). The moderate hydrophobicity of these AEROSIL® products is suited for defoaming properties in the presence of appropriate hydrophobic liquids. They are recomended for improving the sedimentation stability of defoamer dispersions as well.

AEROSIL® R 974 is hydrophobic fumed silica grades treated with DDS (Dichlordimethylsilane). The moderate hydrophobicity of these AEROSIL® products is suited for defoaming properties in the presence of appropriate hydrophobic liquids. They are recommended for improving the sedimentation stability of defoamer dispersions as well.

AFCONA 7201 is recommended for unsaturated polyester, PVC, epoxy, and polyurethane resin systems. It is a moderately strong defoamer, but is not suitable for unpigmented/clear systems, as it may cause in-can haziness. However, this has a negligible effect on final gloss and will not influence other properties of the system.

AFCONA 7375US is a modified fluorocarbon polyacrylate surface modifier with anti-foam and leveling properties. Higher fluorocarbon modification than AFCONA 7371. It is recommended for unsaturated polyester, PVC, epoxy, and polyurethane resin systems. With the higher fluorocarbon modification, AFCONA 7375US is excellent in surface tension related performance, such as anti- cratering, fiber wetting, pigment and extender wetting and faster leveling.

AFCONA 2025 is a moderate defoamer with minimal side effects that prevents the formation of foam and blisters during manufacturing and application. It offers a combination of good defoaming and compatibility with most resin systems, and is recommended for medium-viscosity applications applied by spray and brush.

AFCONA 8203 is a defoamer and air-releaser specially developed for unsaturated polyester, polyurethane, and epoxy resin systems. It provides good defoaming properties to the system while maintaining the system's transparency and clarity, making it an ideal alternative to AFCONA 2720 for high-solid application systems such as UPE, epoxy, and polyurethane.

AFCONA 3750 is a silicone-based leveling and anti-crater agent for aqueous coatings that does not impact inter-coating adhesion. It is a highly fluorocarbon-modified acrylic polymer with very low surface tension, allowing it to substitute and perform as silicones without the side effects of silicones.

AFCONA 5504 is a multi-functional additive that can help wet out difficult or contaminated substrates, lower the surface tension of the coating system, improve pigment grind efficiency, and prevent surface defects such as fisheyes, edge crawl, and craters. It also has great defoaming properties and, due to its hydrophobic nature, reduces the water sensitivity of the final system.

AFCONA 3593 is a silicone-based leveling, substrate wetting and anti-crater agent for aqueous coatings & inks. AFCONA 3593 is a special designed polyether modified polysiloxane. It moves very fast in the defective part of coatings and can decrease the surface tension easily, and it has good compatibility properties.

AFCONA 3775 is a leveling agent with very high defoaming effect for solvent-based coatings. AFCONA 3775 is an acrylic polymer tailor made for those applications that need good leveling as well as a high defoaming effect like coil coatings and other foam sensitive systems. It is recommended as a non-silicone leveling agent where silicone is not permitted due to intercoat adhesion problem.

AFCONA 2790 is a polysiloxane-based defoamer designed for use in solvent-borne and solvent-free systems such as epoxy, PU, UV curing, and unsaturated polyester systems. It is also ideal for solvent-based silk printing ink applications. This defoamer has strong anti-foam and deaeration characteristics, quickly removing tiny bubbles in these systems, as well as quickly breaking surface foam. It is suitable for high viscosity solvent-based and solvent-free coatings and ink systems, and its specially designed structure also enhances film leveling behavior. Additionally, AFCONA 2790 is solvent-free, making it ideal for solvent-free construction techniques.

AFCONA 2505 is a water-based defoamer and anti-foam, especially designed for micro foams. It is an organically modified polysiloxane, providing good defoaming and anti-foaming properties in all water-based coatings. It offers excellent performance against micro foam, even in high shear applications such as long period grinding. It maintains its good defoaming and anti-foam performance under high shear conditions.

AFCONA 3588 is a silicone-based leveling, substrate wetting and anti-crater agent for aqueous coatings & inks without influence of inter-coat adhesion. AFCONA 3588 is a special designed polyether modified polysiloxane. It moves very fast in the defective part of coatings and can decrease the surface tension easily, and it has good compatibility properties.

AFCONA 2724 is a defoamer and air-releaser for unsaturated polyester, polyurethane, UV, and epoxy resin systems. It is an alternative to AFCONA 2720 for high solid applications such as UPE, epoxy, and polyurethane. AFCONA 2724 offers very good transparency and performs as a de-aerator in polyester and epoxy resin systems, ensuring the production of foam- and bubble-free compounds and parts. It is especially compatible with epoxy systems.

AFCONA 3770 is a leveling agent with good defoaming effect and anti-crater working for solvent-based coatings. Fluorocarbon modified acrylic polymer. AFCONA 3770 is a fluorocarbon modified acrylic polymer. Besides acting as an effective leveling agent, it also gives a strong defoaming effect as well as anti-crater properties.

AFCONA 2023 is a moderate defoamer with minimal side effects. It prevents the formation of foam and blisters during the manufacturing and application of solvent-based coatings. The product has a moderate defoaming property and does not show many of the obvious side effects seen when using some stronger defoamers.

AFCONA 2620-85D1 is a strong and highly efficient defoamer for solvent-free and solvent-based, high-viscosity systems. It is a solvent-free defoamer that is recommended for use in such systems, and it has an extremely strong performance in foam destruction and anti-foaming for solvent-free epoxy, solvent-based polyurethane, and unsaturated polyester. It is highly efficient, with good defoaming properties even at very low additions. AFCONA 2620-85D1 is suitable for high-viscosity coating systems to prevent foaming and foam destruction at the interface, and is recommended for use in situations where a solvent-free process is required.

AFCONA 2021 is a silicone-free defoamer with balanced performance for compatibility and defoaming, ideal for use in various coating systems. It can prevent air entrapment during stirring and pumping, and is especially suited for solvent-based coatings where foam formation is an issue when spraying or brushing.

AFCONA 3280 is a special modified polysiloxane that is soluble in aliphatic and aromatic hydrocarbons, esters and ketones, but insoluble in water. It offers slip, defoaming, and improvement of surface characteristics without hurting intercoat adhesion. Additionally, it offers better hot water resistance than other polyether modified polysiloxanes.

AFCONA 3773 is a leveling and surface tension reduction agent for non-aqueous industrial coatings. It is an acrylic-modified fluorocarbon designed to provide anti-crater, substrate wetting, and leveling performance. Compared to AFCONA 3777, AFCONA 3773 has better compatibility and leveling performance. It offers a well-balanced combination of defoaming and leveling performance, making it an ideal choice for use as a universal leveling agent.

AFCONA 3670 is an anti-crater, substrate wetting and leveling agent for solvent-based coatings. AFCONA 3670 is an improved version of AFCONA 3777 on managing surface control of coatings. It has lower surface tension than AFCONA 3777. The combination with a suitable polysiloxane for better overall performance is highly recommended.

AFCONA 2050 is a strong defoamer for most solvent-based coatings. AFCONA 2050 offers very strong defoaming and anti-foam performance with good compatibility in many resin systems. It is suitable for solvent-based coatings, printing inks and thermosetting resin systems. The product eliminates foam and blistering, regardless of whether the air bubbles are caused by the substrate.
