Products in Rheology Modifiers & Stabilizers: Corrosion Inhibitor

Berol 185 is a nonionic, readily biodegradable surfactant that offers improved surface wetting, paint stability and color acceptance properties in water borne paints. It is a non label product, easy to handle and with good foam control.

Phospholan PS 1770 LP is ethoxylated phosphate ester mainly used as dispersing and wetting agent in several applications.

DePHOS 8028FA is an aliphatic phosphate ester in its acid form, derived from an ethoxylated alcohol.

Synthetic Sodium Sulfonates Synsul™ NA is a series of synthetic sodium sulfonates of various molecular weights. These products are carefully and selectively manufactured to ensure consistent quality with little variation from batch to batch. The lower molecular weight products, Synsul™ NA 420 and Synsul™ NA 450, have good affinity for water making them excellent components in emulsifier packages. The higher molecular weight products, Synsul™ NA 480, and Synsul™ NA 535, have less affinity for water thereby imparting rust and corrosion inhibiting characteristics. The advantages of these products include lower viscosity for ease of handling, lighter color, and greater batch-to-batch consistency.

PEL-PHOS™ CD260 is a dispersant, lubricant, anti-wear additive, corrosion inhibitor, wetting agent, emulsifier, detergent. It is both biodegradable and a non-ecotoxic surfactant. PEL-PHOS™ CD260 can also be used as co-emulsifier for emulsion polymerization.

Jalpon™ 1760HF is concentrated, thixotropic gelled sulfonates in mineral spirit carriers. Their high solids content allows for easy formulation of reduced VOC solvent-based industrial coatings. Jalpon™ 1760HF are compatible with a wide variety of raw materials and will offer superior corrosion protection and resistance to dripping and flow in finished coatings. Jalpon™ 1760HF should be further formulated by blending with other film formers such as oils, waxes or petrolatum to insure a continuous film and optimum performance. In addition to corrosion protection, they impart good rheology characteristics to paints, rust preventives, and coatings. Jalpon™ 1760HF can also be of value in the dispersion of pigments in highly formulated coatings.

These products do not contain any aromatic polynuclear hydrocarbons, carboxylates, asphaltenes or chlorinated derivatives. All NSP Naturals™ products offer the formulator excellent solubility, emulsification, and anti-corrosive characteristics due to the broad molecular weight distribution of these products.

It is designed to allow the easy formulation of solvent-based industrial coatings with a wide variety of raw materials. Jalpon™ 1700HF will offer superior corrosion protection and resistance to dripping, sag, and unwanted flow in finished coatings. DYTEK® BHMT HP (bis-hexamethylene triamine) is a high purity (>95%) triamine that is used in applications where purity is critical such as phosphonate scavenger and flocculant in oil & gas applications and as a hardener in epoxy coating and adhesive applications.

Branched Sodium Sulfonate Synsul™ 455BR is a unique medium molecular weight sodium sulfonate derived from a branched alkylate. This product is easily formulated into soluble oil bases, semi-synthetic fluids and other metalworking compounds as an emulsifier and rust inhibitor. The branched structure aids in inherent bio-stability. Therefore, fluids derived from Synsul™ 455BR may exhibit longer fluid life than those formulated with either linear or natural sodium sulfonates.
