THINPREG™ TP 190 is a system designed for aeronautic structural part, combining high strength and high toughness with a very good thermal stability. The PES-toughened epoxy system shows outstanding compression and fatigue properties.

HexTool® M61 Tooling Compound is randomly layered strips of uni-directional prepreg which is consolidated into rolled goods. It can be utilized as multi-ply quasi-isotropic hand lay-up, and subsequently CNC milled to close tolerance. HexTool® has proved to be dimensionally stable with the ability to hold vacuum integrity before and after machining, and after more than 500 part cure cycles. Fabricated from Hexcel’s BMI resin HexPly® M61, HexTool® tools are ideally suited for 180°C (356°F) cure carbon fiber tools. This makes them lighter weight, more energy efficient than tools made of steel or Invar®, and more cost-effective with tighter mold tolerance than standard composites.

THINPREG™ TP 736LT is an exceptionally versatile hot-melt, epoxy prepreg. It can be cured at temperature as low as 80°C (176°F), or can be used for faster molding of components at 120°C (248°F). This is achieved with a good out-life of up to 60 days at 18-22°C (64-72°C)..

This makes them also lighter weight, more energy efficient than tools made of steel or aluminum but also more cost-effective with tighter mold tolerance than standard composites tools.

THINPREG™ TP 135 is a breakthrough product combining high strength and high toughness in a thin ply format. The PES-toughened epoxy system shows compression after impact properties typical of 3rd generation aerospace matrices. Thin ply materials achieve higher usable properties from the fiber through spreading load more consistently though the laminate and delaying first ply failure. Negligible ply drop-off effects and greater degrees of freedom in design are now combined with a PES-toughened system for high resolution, highly optimized, super-strong composite structures.
