Mitsubishi Chemical Advanced Materials is considered the world market leader in the production of classic glass-mat-reinforced thermoplastics (GMT). This semi-finished product in panel form was developed primarily as a substitute for metals (steel, aluminum etc.) and its main purchasers can be found in the automotive industry. This is where it is frequently pressed on the industrial scale into complex 3D structural components, although it is also used as panels.

The OS-6 series are nylon 6 thermoplastic organosheets that contain woven fabrics as heavy as 2,500 g/m2. The composite sheets characterized by high strength and stiffness."

MC514MG is a glass phenolic, semi-conductive laminate which was designed for corona discharge in the power generation industry. The graphitic carbon additive in the resin system enables easy installation in the slots and provides the necessary conductivity to safely remove harmful charges from the system.

NP193PM is composed of a 17 oz. aramid and "soft glass" fibers are combined to make a fabric that is stronger than pure aramid and less abrasive than glass fabrics. This material is impregnated with a high temperature phenolic resin matrix which includes a non-conducting solid lubricant. This composite has excellent mechanical strength at elevated temperatures and adverse environments. Applications include wear plates for conveyor systems, valve plates, and compressor and pump vanes.

MC511AF is a high strength, medium weave glass epoxy laminate that retains a minimum of 50 percent of its room temperature flexural strength when tested at 150ºC. Typical applications include insulation in power generation equipment and other structural applications when used in elevated temperatures. MC511AF is certifiable to MIL-I-24768/3, Type GEB.

Woven glass fabric, melamine resin laminate. NP509 is very hard, flame resistant, machining grade with excellent electrical properties in high humidity conditions. NP509 has high physical strength and excellent arc resistance. Meets MIL-I-24768/1 type GME, MIL-I-24768/8 type GMG and IEC 60893-3-3-MF GC 201.

MC511FR is a high strength, medium weave glass epoxy laminate that retains a minimum of 50 percent of its room temperature flexural strength when tested at 150ºC. Typical applications include structural applications when used in elevated temperatures. MC511FR also complies with MIL-I-24768/28, Type GEB-F. Certification to IEC standard is pending.

MC511A is a high strength, glass epoxy laminate that is specially formulated to meet power generation producer’s exacting standards where higher strength at elevated temperatures are required. MC511A is certifiable to MIL-I-24768/3, Type GEB, IEC-60893-3-2 EP GC 203 and is halogen free to meet the European restrictions.

NP572 is a high strength, medium weave glass epoxy laminate that retains a minimum of 50 percent of its room temperature flexural strength when tested at 150ºC and its Tg is guaranteed to be 180°C or greater. Typical applications include electrical equipment subjected to elevated temperatures. NP572 is certifiable to IEC 60216-3, IEEE STD 98-2002 and ASTM D2304 for Class H insulation in electrical devices. NP572 is also certifiable to MIL-I-24768/3, Type GEB.

High flexural, impact and tensile strengths, and very high flexural modulus. It is constructed of glass fabric impregnated with an epoxy resin system. NP512 is engineered to provide better physical properties than NEMA FR-4, and be more dimensionally stable than standard NP510A. Applications for this material are where enhanced flexural modulus and physical strength are desired.

Cuyahoga Plastics EB7000-1 is A U.L recognized, flame retardant, mineral-filled, glass fiber reinforced polyester thermoset molding compound suitable for compression, transfer, and injection molding. It is currently supplied in bulk form.

Plenco® 04309 is a heat resistant, glass-reinforced phenolic molding compound offering improved mechanical strength and electrical strength properties. UL recognized under component file E40654. 04309 is available in black.

Plenco® 08235 is a 15% glass-filled polyester bulk molding compound characterized as a flame-retardant, medium-strength electrical grade. Customers have found this material useful for a broad range of applications such as capacitor cans, electrical enclosures, etc. It is available in bulk or extruded form, natural and black. Other colors available upon request. It is UL recognized under file E40654.

Plenco® 06301 is an inorganic reinforced phenolic molding compound, offering excellent heat resistance, dimensional stability, and processability. Customers have found this material useful for automotive applications. It is not intended for electrical insulating applications. 06301 is available in black.

Cuyahoga Plastics AB5000 is a UV resistant, flame retardant, glass-reinforced polyester thermoset suitable for outdoor applications. Compression, transfer, and injection molding grades are available. It is currently supplied in bulk form, cut preforms, and box length extrusions.

Plenco® 07579 is a fast curing, woodflour filled, novolac phenolic molding compound, formulated for industrial applications that do not require a smooth finish. UL recognized under component file E40654. 07579 is available in black.

Plenco® 07070 is a cotton flock and mineral filled resole phenolic molding compound, offering improved impact strength properties. 07070 is available in black.

Plenco® 07200 is an organic fiber reinforced phenolic molding compound, offering improved mechanical strength, good powder properties and excellent cosmetic properties. UL recognized under component file E40654. 07200 is available in black.

Plenco® 07591 is a mineral and flock cotton filled novolac phenolic molding compound. UL recognized under component file E40654. 07591 is available in black.

Warm punching, composite grade with woven glass covers for improved flexural, tensile and impact strength. It has better electrical properties and higher mechanical strength than NP611.

Plenco® 07476 is a cotton flock filled resole phenolic molding compound, with improved physical strength, crack resistance, and is resistant to soap and detergent solutions at elevated temperatures. UL recognized under component file E40654. 07476 is available in black.

Plenco® 01581 is a glass and mineral-reinforced pelletized polyester molding compound, exhibiting excellent dimensional stability, mechanical strength and also arc resistance, track resistance, and flammability ratings. Plenco® 06343 is a mica reinforced phenolic molding compound, offering for a low power factor, low electrical losses, and good electrical properties after long exposures to high humidity. UL recognized under component file E40654. 06343 is available in natural color.
