It is used in pH 3.4–4.4 formulations as a quaternary ammonium salt as a conditioner. It is used to replace quaternary cationic surfactants in rinse-off conditioners. It provides excellent wet combing and wet sensory common protonating acids are lactic, aspartic, citric, and glutamic acids.

Chembetaine™ CGF surfactant is a glycerin-free surfactant derived from coconut fatty acids. It is a high purity, low color ingredient that exhibits excellent foam and viscosity-building properties. Similar to Chembetaine™ CAD, it also synergistically provides mildness. This surfactant is well-suited for use in shampoos, facial cleansers, bubble baths, and bath gels.

Amidex™ C-CM surfactant is a concentrated and self-preserving liquid version of Cocamide MEA. This surfactant offers excellent viscosity-building properties when used with anionics and is particularly well-suited for bath and shower products where stable foam, good wetting, and gentle cleansing are desired.
