Conventional or organic available Turmeric (Curcuma longa), also known as Indian Saffron and Indian Yellow Root, is a perennial tropical herb belonging to the ginger (Zingiberaceae) family. Native to India and Southeast Asia this golden spice has been used for thousands of years for culinary, religious and medicinal purposes. It is a staple ingredient in Asian and Middle Eastern cooking and has long been used in Ayurvedic, Siddha and Traditional Chinese Medicine for treating a wide range of ailments. Turmeric essential oil is steam distilled from the ‘cured’ roots (rhizomes). It is yellow in color and has a distinctive, spicy, smoky, woody aroma. Turmeric was used in the ancient Ayurveda and Unani medicine system to treat a large number of health-related problems such as indigestion, common cold, liver ailments, etc. It was also applied to wounds and cuts as it comprises antiseptic and antibacterial properties.

Allspice, also known as Jamaica Pepper or Pimento, is a large evergreen tree that features fragrant bark, leaves, flowers and berries. It is native to the West Indies, Caribbean and Central and South America. It is now grown commercially in Jamaica, Mexico and Trinidad amongst others. The oil comes in two varieties, Allspice Leaf and Allspice Berry, both steam distilled. Allspice Berry Oil has a lower Eugenol content than the leaf oil. It is the more expensive of the two oils, and is considered a safer oil due to its lower Eugenol content, and has a more pleasant aroma. With a yellow to brown color and a warm, sweet yet spicy aroma, it is similar in smell to clove and cinnamon, and reminiscent of fall/winter. It has antifungal and antiseptic qualities, and the aroma compliments masculine fragrances.

Conventional or organic available The olive tree (Olea europaea) is a small species of tree in the family Oleaceae. It is native to the coastal areas of the eastern Mediterranean Basin, Africa and parts of Asia. It is widely naturalized in southern and eastern Australia, particularly in temperate regions.It is most common in south-eastern South Australia, but is also naturalized in south-eastern and central Queensland, in the sub-coastal regions of central and northern New South Wales, in western and central Victoria, in many other parts of South Australia, and in the coastal and sub-coastal districts of south-western Western Australia. The history of Olive Farming in Australia dates back to the early 1800’s. Olives were first planted in groves around Parramatta near Sydney. It is an evergreen tree that grows between 2-12 meters in height and has numerous branches. It is a subtropical broad-leaved evergreen tree with edible fruit. Its leaves, leathery and lance-shaped, are dark green above and silvery on the underside and are paired opposite each other on the twig. The wood is resistant to decay. If the top dies back, a new trunk will often arise from the roots. The olive fruit is classed botanically as a drupe, similar to the peach or plum. Olive trees bloom in late spring small, whitish flowers are borne in loose clusters in the axils of the leaves. Available as Refined or Unrefined

Conventional or organic available There are several varieties of cedarwood oils. Cedarwood Atlas Oil is a pale yellow to orange/yellow or deep amber/brown in color, with an unusual, slightly camphorous aroma with woody undertones. The oil is obtained by the steam distillation of the wood, with the higher quality oils usually coming from older trees. Cedarwood Atlas is a slow-growing, coniferous evergreen, reaching heights of 33 meters or more that grows mainly in Morocco, North Africa and India. The diameter of the trunks can reach over 1.5 meters. Cedarwood Atlas was believed to have been used extensively by the Egyptians in cosmetics, embalming, perfume and medicine. It is a rich, versatile oil, with a calming aroma.

Conventional or organic available Prickly Pear oil is nutrient packed and has one of the highest levels of Vitamin E of any plant-based source and contains 150 percent more Vitamin E than the long time facial favorite, Argan oil. Vitamin E is a beloved ingredient in skincare, found in moisturizers, facial oils, face masks, and so much more. Originating in Morocco, prickly pear seed oil, also known as 'barbary fig oil is easily absorbed through the skin, it exerts powerful regenerating and restructuring properties. Prickly pear oil rejuvenates mature skin and also gives it a slight lifting effect. Regular use results in the skin staying elastic, smooth and firm, and has a natural shine. Its antioxidant activity is strengthening and it's protective, anti-pollution and anti-stress properties combat skin-aging from the sun. It is exceptionally rich in essential fatty acids which help to fight against dry skin, improves hydration, slows the aging process of the skin and prevents wrinkles.

Tarragon which is known scientifically as Artemisia dracunculus is a perennial herb belonging to the same family as the sunflower. It grows wild in many parts of North America, Europe and Central Asia but is cultivated as a popular culinary and medicinal herb in many other parts of the world. Other common names for the herb are estragon and dragon wort. Artemisia dracunculus var. sativa, a sub-species of tarragon is widely cultivated for its leaves which are used primarily as an aromatic cooking herb. Other sub-species lack the familiar, strong aroma. The various sub-species also go by less formal names. French tarragon is considered to be the best for cooking while Russian tarragon is regarded as superior to wild tarragon. It is believed that dates back to 3500 years before Christ the use of this type of herbs in its most concentrated form, that is, in essential oils, in whose content infinite properties can be achieved, given by more than 100 aromatic molecules found in their pure state and in various proportions which generates beneficial effects for health.

A very beloved and popular oil in the cosmetic industry, this beautiful oil is cold pressed from the kernels found inside the fruit of argan trees. Argan oil has been used for over 3500 years for its moisturizing properties for skin and hair and for skin blemishes and to help heal scars in its native Morocco. It is believed to have its origins is a small rural village known as Argana. The Argan tree grows wild in this region of Morocco and thrive in this vast and rugged environment where many other species of plants and animals struggle. With a light, nutty aroma, this oil is very rich in vitamin A and E and monosaturated fatty acids giving it incredible conditioning, moisturizing and anti-aging properties, and helping to make it a valuable ingredient in skin care and hair care.

Conventional or organic available Safflower (Carthamus tinctorius) is a highly branched, herbaceous, thistle-like annual plant. It belongs to the Asteracese family. It is commercially cultivated for oil extracted from the seeds. It is described as a bushy herbaceous plant possessing several branches. Plants are 30 to 150 cm (12 to 59 in) tall with globular flower heads having yellow, orange, or red flowers. Each branch will usually have from one to five flower heads containing 15 to 20 seeds per head. Safflower is native to arid environments having seasonal rain. It grows a deep taproot which enables it to thrive in such environments. Safflower is one of humanity's oldest crops. Chemical analysis of ancient Egyptian textiles dated to the Twelfth dynasty identified dyes made from safflower, and garlands made from safflowers were found in the tomb of the pharaoh Tutankhamun. Safflower was also known as carthamine in the nineteenth century. Safflower (Carthamus tinctorius) production commenced in Australia during the 1950’s. American safflower material was successfully introduced and adapted to Australian conditions by Australian breeders located in Biloela, Queensland and after just four years, over 4046 hectares in Central Queensland were sown to safflower.

Conventional or organic available A versatile, lightweight carrier oil, Grapeseed Oil is produced from cold-pressing the seeds of the grape – a byproduct of the production of wine. It is jam packed with antioxidants, high amounts of Omega fatty acids and vitamins. It has antimicrobial and anti-inflammatory properties. Grapeseed Oil is high in Vitamin E and C, this combined with is high levels of Omega fatty acids, mainly Omega 6, it is highly moisturizing and great for skin hydration. It is highly valued as an ingredient in skin care and body care products and is also great in hair care products. Due to having very little odor, it is often a preferred carrier oil for use in the formulation of massage oil and essential oil blends.

Native to Australia, Eucalyptus Blue Mallee is found in south west New South Wales and upper western Victoria, where it thrives in semi-arid conditions. It flowers usually in March to June. Eucalyptus Blue Mallee is one of the major species used for Eucalyptus Oil production. With an uplifting, delicious, citrus aroma, Grapefruit is a stimulating, energizing oil with many uses and benefits. The oil is cold pressed from the peel of the fruit. It is known for its high limonene content. The oil is great in skin care and hair products. It is good for skin and useful in combatting acne. It has powerful cleansing properties and is helpful for the hair and scalp. It is also used as an ingredient in perfumes and men’s care products and fragrances. Grapefruit Oil comes in White or Pink. They are simply different varieties of the same plant. The difference is in the color of the fruit, the chemistry is similar and the differences are minimal, but more Pink Grapefruit Oil is produced.

Conventional or certified organic available Camellia japonica, also known as Tsubaki (soo-baw-kee) in Japanese is a flowering tree indigenous to Japan and China, and a member of the tea family. Camellia japonica oil is harvested from the seeds of the plant and traditionally known for its remarkable ability to retain moisture and penetrate into the deepest layers of the skin because its composition is similar to sebum the oil is naturally produced by human skin, delivering an immense amount of phytonutrients. This nourishing oil has been a treasured beauty secret by Japanese women and the ancient Geisha's for centuries, yet it is not well known in other areas of the world. It contains high levels of essential fatty acids, which help replenish the skin’s barrier and prevent water loss, protecting it from UV and environmental damage. The camellia flowers are prized for their beauty, and vary in color from white, pink, red with plenty of variations in between. The seeds are pressed to extract tsubaki-abura (椿油), i.e. camellia oil, which has a long history of giving Japanese women flawless porcelain-like skin and long, beautiful, shiny hair.

Arnica comes from a perennial plant scientifically known as arnica montana. You may also find it called other names including wolf’s bane, leopard's bane, mountain daisy, mountain tobacco and mountain arnica. Found in the mountainous areas of Europe and North America, the plant produces yellow, daisy-like flowers. Arnica is a herb that grows mainly in Siberia and central Europe, as well as temperate climates in North America. The flowers of the plant are used in medicine. Arnica is most commonly used for pain caused by osteoarthritis, sore throat, surgery, and other conditions. Arnica is also used for bleeding, bruising, swelling after surgery, and other conditions, but there is no good scientific evidence to support these uses. Arnica can also be unsafe when taken by mouth. In manufacturing, arnica is used in hair tonics and anti-dandruff preparations. The oil is used in perfumes and cosmetics.

Palo Santo is translated from Spanish as ‘Holy Wood’. With a long spiritual history, it has been used for healing and in cleansing rituals for thousands of years and is believed to help clear negative energy. Palo Santo oil is steam distilled from the wood of the trees, which are primarily located in South and Central America. The oil can be sustainably harvested from fallen trees and branches. The tree is in the same botanical family as Frankincense. With a gentle aroma, with a woody scent with hints of pine, lemon and mint, Palo Santo oil is rich in antioxidants, and has anti-inflammatory and antimicrobial properties and is considered to be a purifying and cleansing oil.

Mimosa Absolute also known as Silver Wattle and Blue Wattle, is extracted from the fuzzy yellow blossoms of Acacia dealbata plant, native to Australia. With its sweet, floral and slightly woody aroma, Mimosa Absolute Oil is a perfumery must-have and an unanimous favorite of aromatherapists and perfumers alike. It has a relatively widespread natural distribution in south-eastern Australia. It is native to most of eastern New South Wales, the ACT and most of Victoria (in mainland Australia it is most common near the Great Dividing Range from the Ben Lomond Range in northern New South Wales to the Grampians in western Victoria). It is also widespread and common throughout Tasmania. There are approximately 1,300 Acacia species worldwide with 1,000 native to Australia. The Mimosa flowers are harvested in March and April when they are in full bloom the absolute is a thick, yellow sticky consistency. With a beautiful floral, fruity note.

Conventional or organic available The Avocado Tree is an evergreen native to Mexico and Central America but now grown worldwide. The fruit is a berry, consisting of a single large seed, surrounded by a buttery pulp. Avocado oil is obtained from the cold press of the fruit pulp, which is rich in vitamins, minerals, nutrients and fatty acids. The oil is usually a dark green color with a thick feeling texture. It has quite a strong fresh, sweet and nutty aroma. A highly moisturizing oil, Avocado oil has been embraced by the cosmetic industry and is a very popular product with a variety of uses.

Peppermint Gum, was initially found around the Blue Mountains and then west through the Great Dividing Range and south along the range into Victoria, as far as Ballarat. In its optimal situation this Eucalypt can reach up to 20 meters in height. The Peppermint Gum (Eucalyptus dives) tree has been harvested and distilled for over 100 years. Early settlers took advantage of the tree leaves for colds, coughs, flu. The oil was a significant source of menthol and thymol. The leaves and branchlets are harvested and steam distilled and the oil has a peppermint, spicy, fresh, invigorating Eucalyptus aroma. Conventional or organic available A rainforest tree growing to 40 meters, Aniseed (also known as Anise) Myrtle is very rare in the wild, limited to Bellinger and Nambucca Valleys of New South Wales. Anise Myrtle is grown in plantations around northern New South Wales. These plantations were actually planted for the herb or bush tucker markets until the ‘rediscovery’ of its unique essential oil. The trees are harvested and are then steam distilled for around 1 hour. The harvesting is done by unique farm machinery designed by the farmers themselves. Leaves are cut, a vacuum sucks the leaves into a bin and the leaves are placed into a stainless steel boiler. Anise Myrtle is a new oil to the aromatherapy industry and has the potential to supersede traditional Aniseed essential oils on the basis of a superior Anethole content and a superior, fresher Anise aroma. Anise Myrtle essential oil is extracted via steam distillation of the stems and branches.

In ancient Indian culture, Sesame oil has been used to treat different health and skin conditions for thousands of years. The oil is pressed from the seeds of the sesame plant, an annual originally found in Africa and India, but now grown widely around the world. It was known to the ancient Egyptians, Chinese and the Romans. Sesame seed oil can be used as a general-purpose oil and it suits most cosmetic applications; Creams, lotions, body butter; sun care; massage products; soap; bath oils. Sesame oil is high in zinc which helps produce collagen in the skin. The oil contains an antioxidant called sesamol.

Sea buckthorn is a thorny shrub found along the Atlantic coast of Europe and throughout Asia. This plant sprouts leaves, fruits and seeds which are all used for traditional medicinal and remedial applications. Sea buckthorn oil is derived from the fruit that grows on this plant. Sea buckthorn oil has become increasingly popular in natural skin care as it contains over 190 nutrients and phytonutrients. This nutritious berry has twelve times the amount of Vitamin C than oranges, just as much Vitamin E as wheat germ and three times more Vitamin A than carrots. Sea buckthorn also contains Omegas 3, 6, 9 and 7, along with many other nutrients and antioxidants. Seabuckthorn oil is composed of seed oil that is rich in essential fatty acids, linoleic and α-linolenic acids, and pulp oil that contains high levels of monounsaturated palmitoleic acid. It is known for its anti-inflammatory, antimicrobial, pain relief, and promotion of regeneration of tissue.

Holy Basil Oil also known as Tulsi Oil is extracted through steam distillation from holy basil (Ocimum sanctum) an aromatic shrub in the basil family. Originating from India it is now grown in Australia, West Africa and some Middle Eastern Countries. Tulsi meaning the incomparible one it has been used throughout India in spiritual rituals and in Ayurvedic practices. It is a tonic for the body, mind and spirit and is grown for its aromatic, medicinal and spiritual purposes.

Cananga (Cananga odorata var macrophylla)is closely related to Ylang Ylang (Cananga odorata var genuine). The oils are quite similar, as the plants are from the same genus and species. Cananga has a beautiful but more subtle floral aroma than Ylang Ylang and has a more woody note. They have slightly different chemical compositions. Cananga has higher amounts of beta-caryophyllene. It is a soothing and calming oil. It has a middle/base note. Canaga oil is highly prized in the perfume industry and is a favorite in cosmetic products. The Cananga tree is native to Indonesia, Malaysia and The Philippines. The oil is produced from the steam distillation its yellow flowers. The flowers are picked early in the morning to ensure maximum oil yield.

Conventional or organic available Clove Bud Oil comes from the aromatic dried flower bud of the Clove tree (Syzygium aromaticum), which originated in the Maluku Islands of Indonesia. Clove as a spice is well known and has been used for centuries in trade between nations as a valuable commodity along with other spices and herbs. Clove Bud Oil has a very unique aroma of rich, warm, sweet, spicy and woody notes and really is a stand-alone scent aromatically.

Chamaemelum nobilehas daisy-like white flowers and procumbent stems; the leaves are alternate, bipinnate, finely dissected, and downy to glabrous. The solitary, terminal flowerheads, rising 20–30cm (8–12in) above the ground, consist of prominent yellow disk flowers and silver-white ray flowers. The flowering time in the Northern Hemisphere is June and July, and its fragrance is sweet, crisp, fruity and herbaceous. Although the plant is often confused with German chamomile (Matricaria chamomilla), its morphology, properties and chemical composition are markedly different. Roman chamomile (C. nobileL.) has a history of use in traditional medicine since the Middle Ages. The European cultivation of the plant started in England in the 16th century. The plant was listed first in the pharmacopeia of Würtenberg as a carminative, painkiller, diuretic and digestive aid. Joachim Camerarius was the first to discover and name chamaemelum nobile in 1598 in Rome. In Egypt, chamaemelum nobile was used as a symbol of dedication to their gods.

Eucalyptus Kochii, formally known as Eucalyptus Horistes or commonly as Eucalyptus West Australian Mallee, is a species of mallee and is endemic to Western Australia. Eucalyptus Kochii typically grows to a height of 8 m (26 ft), rarely a tree to 12 m (39 ft), and forms a lignotuber. It has rough, flaky or fibrous, light gray to brown bark on the trunk and larger branches, smooth gray to pink bark on the thinner branches. The leaves of the Eucalyptus Kochii have a natural 1,8-cineole (eucalyptol) content of 90 – 95% the highest 1,8-cineole level of all the Eucalyptus’s and there are over 800 species of Eucalyptus’. It is an energizing oil with a crisp and fresh aroma. Ginger essential oil is extracted from the plant Zingiberaceae officinale of the Zingiberaceae family and is also known as Common or Jamaica Ginger. The plant is said to originate from India, China and Java, yet is also native to Africa and the West Indies. It was most likely brought to Europe between the 10th and 15th century as a condiment and spice. Ginger is a perennial herb and grows to about 3 - 4 feet high with a thick spreading tuberous root. It has narrow spear-shaped leaves and white or yellow flowers growing directly from the root. The oil is distilled from the unpeeled dried ground root. The aroma of Ginger Essential Oil can vary widely, depending on the distillation and quality of the root being distilled It has been used as a medicine since very early times and is recorded in both Sanskrit and Chinese texts and is also mentioned in the literature of the ancient Greeks, Romans, and Arabians. The name ginger is said to be derived from the Gingi district in India, where tea made from ginger is used for stomach upsets.

Conventional or organic available Rosemary is an aromatic, evergreen shrub with needle-like leaves and white, pink, purple, or blue flowers that belongs to the mint family. The plant flowers in spring and summer in temperate climates, but the plants can be in constant bloom in warm climates. The leaves are frequently used to flavor foods and the oil is of great use and highly beneficial as well. A sharp and herbaceous smelling essential oil Rosemary essential oil is extracted from the flowering tips of the plant through steam distillation.

Conventional or organic available A versatile and often underrated oil, Cajeput oil has many applications. It has an uplifting, clean fragrance with antiseptic and antimicrobial properties. A member of the Melaleuca family, Cajeput oil is steam distilled from the leaves and lateral branches of the Melaleuca Leucadendron Cajuputi. The name Cajeput derives from the Malaysian word ‘kayu-putih’ meaning white wood. The tree is highly regarded in the east and has many therapeutic and herbal uses, and was widely used by Indigenous Australians in traditional medicine including the treatment of aching joints and respiratory issues.

Conventional or organic available Orange Oil or Orange Sweet Oil is a versatile oil with a refreshing, sweet citrus aroma. This popular oil is uplifting and energizing. Oranges are believed native to the tropical regions of Asia, especially the Malay Archipelago. Orange probably spread from its native habitat to India and the east coast of Africa and from there to the eastern Mediterranean region by the Roman conquests, who developed the Arab trade routes. By the time Christopher Columbus sailed, orange trees were common in the Canary Islands. Today oranges are cultivated in subtropical and tropical America, northern and eastern Mediterranean countries, Australia, and South Africa. Orange plants arrived in Australia along with the early convicts and still thrive in all States and the Northern Territory. Orange Sweet oil is extracted from the fresh fruit peel by cold expression. Orange blends well with Bergamot, Clary Sage, Cypress, Cedarwood, Frankincense, Geranium, Jasmine, Juniper, Lavender, Lemon, Myrrh, Neroli, Pettigrain, Rose, Rosewood, Rose Geranium, Sandalwood, Ylang Ylang, Lemon, Clove, Cinnamon and Nutmeg.

The oil is a yellow or amber color to pale orange/brown and has a woodsy, earthy fragrance. A nourishing oil, it is rich in beta carotene, Vitamins A and E and pro-vitamin A - it is a popular oil, particularly in the realm of skincare.

Conventional or organic available Myrrh is a small tree/shrub with knotted branches, aromatic leaves, and white flowers. Myrrh essential oil is steam distilled from the harvested resin of the tree. The myrrh tree is native to Arabia, northern Africa, South Western Asia and the region around the Red Sea, especially Ethiopia, Somalia and Yemen. Historians believe that myrrh grew in the Tigris and Euphrates valleys, now thought to be the site of the biblical Garden of Eden. Today, most Myrrh is obtained from the Middle East, particularly Iran. Myrrh essential oil is considered a precious oil and has been treasured by almost every civilisation for over four thousand years. Myrrh was used in embalming by the Egyptians and has a long history of use in both traditional Chinese medicine and Indian Ayurvedic practices. In Christianity, Gold, Frankincense and Myrrh were the gifts given to the baby Jesus by the three wise men. Myrrh Essential Oil is used most often for spiritual and incense applications, and it is heralded for its contribution to oral health. Conventional or organic available Neroli oil is an essential oil produced from the blossom of the bitter orange tree (Citrus aurantium subsp. amara or Bigaradia). Orange oil comes from the orange peel the leaves are used to make petitgrain oil and the flowers are steam distilled to make neroli (or orange blossom) oil. Neroli oil is widely used in the perfume and fragrance industry. Eau -de -Cologne, the famous perfume from Cologne, Germany, used this oil as its main ingredient. Neroli oil has a deep, intoxicating mix of citrus and floral aromas and can be pale yellow or coffee-brown in color. Neroli oil is costly to produce. It takes one ton of bitter orange blossoms to make one quart of oil.

Conventional or organic available The coconut tree (Cocos nucifera) is a member of the palm family .It is often referred to as 'The tree of lifeas it can be used in so many wonderful and versatile ways. Coconut oil used in cosmetics or natural products is often referred to as Fractionated or MCT Coconut Oil. The word Fractionated stands for the process that separates the different types of fat in virgin coconut oil and MCT stands for “Medium Chain Triglycerides”. With MCT/Fractioned Coconut Oil, the Lauric Acid is removed using Hydrolysis and Steam Distillation, leaving only the medium-chain fatty acids, specifically capric and caprylic fatty acids. These 2 medium-chain fatty acids (capric and caprylic fatty acids) are what make up the MCT/Fractionated Coconut Oil in its final state. Virgin Oils always have a strong and distinct smell, richer color and may have a slightly thicker viscosity, whereas MCT oil has no odor and is a very light oil. When making cosmetics or natural products, sometimes virgin coconut oil creates some limitations regarding the formulation of certain products, like lotions, creams, lip balm and soap. This is due to the long-chain fatty acids going solid at a certain temperature. Fractionated Coconut oil also has great stability and longer shelf life than its counterpart Virgin coconut oil. Fractionated Coconut oil is a light, absorbent and colorless oil with a variety of uses. High in Vitamin E and antioxidants, it blends easily with other oils and ingredients. In skin care it is valued as it is soothing for the skin and an emollient which helps provide a soothing barrier. It is great in body care products, hair care and massage blends.

Tamanu seed carrier oil is extracted from nuts of Calophyllum tacamahaca which belongs to Caryophyllaceae family. The name TAMANU is a Tahitian word describing specifically the Calophyllum Inophyllum species which grows solely on Tahiti. The Tamanu nuts are only 3 or 4 cm in diameter and grow in small bunches dispersed throughout the tree. The fruits are green at first. Contrary to most other oil producing nuts, the fresh green Tamanu nuts are completely devoid of oil when they first fall from the tree. They need to be exposed to the sun for a few weeks before they turn a brownish color, develop their aromatic odor and achieve their full oil capacity. The pure expressed Tamanu oil which is extracted from the sun-drenched dry nuts is a rich Olive Green color with a characteristic marked odor. It contains a significant resin concentration (over 20%) which gives it its therapeutic properties well known in pharmacy and beauty care.
