Jojoba Oil is obtained from the seeds of the jojoba shrub (Simmondsia chinensis). The jojoba shrub belongs to the Simmondsiaceae family. The seeds have a high oil content of roughly 50 percent. From a chemical standpoint, it is a liquid wax. The plant is native to the southwestern United States and northern Mexico. It is also grown outside of its region of origin, in Israel, Argentina and Peru.

Organic Australian Sandalwood Oil is a colorless to pale yellow, slightly viscous limpid liquid. Macadamianut Oil is obtained from the fruit of the macadamia tree (Macadamia sp). The macadamia tree belongs to the Proteaceae family. Its fruit has a fatty oil content ranging between 70 and 75 percent. Originally native to Australia, the macadamia tree is now also grown in South Africa, South America and Hawaii.

Evening Primrose Oil is obtained from the seeds of the evening primrose (Oenthera biennis L.). The evening primrose is a biennial, herbal plant with a large inflorescence. Its seeds have a fatty oil content of around 40 to 50 percent. Originally native to the north-western United States, today the Evening Primrose is found in Europe, throughout North America as well as the Middle East and East Asia.

Refined Meadowfoam Oil Rich in unsaturated fatty acids, Meadowfoam oil contains more than 56% of of icosenoic acid, more than 11% of docosenoic acid (omega 9 fatty acid) and at least 13% of docosadienoic acid. Thanks to its composition, meadowfoam oil is able to penetrate and repair skin and hair fiber. It is widely used in cosmetic for its moisturizing properties and its stability to oxidation.

Borageseed Oil is obtained from the seeds of the borage plant (Borago officinalis). Borage is an annual plant and belongs to the Boraginaceae family. The seeds contain around 30 percent oil. Borage was originally native to the Mediterranean, but is now found in both cultivated and wild form in Canada, Eastern Europe, the UK, New Zealand and China.

Squalene naturally occurs in the unsaponifiable matter in Olive Oil and some other vegetable oils, as well as in the skin’s lipid barrier and in blood serum. It is also available from maritime sources. Production and distribution are strictly separated. Squalene is further processed to produce Squalane. Squalane is a clear, odorless and colorless liquid, which is produced from hydrogenation of the natural substance Squalene. Squalene is sensitive to oxidation due to its double compounds, but becomes resistant to oxidation and heat when it is hydrogenated.

Murumuru Butter is extracted from the seeds of the murumuru palm (Astrocaryum murumuru), which is endemic to the Brazilian Amazon region and is primarily found in areas that are periodically flooded. The seeds contain approximately 35 to 45 percent fat.

Rose Hip Oil is obtained from the seeds of rose hips, which grow exclusively on wild rose bushes (Rosa canina L., Rosa rubiginosa and Rosa moschata) as so-called ovaries. Rose hips are harvested during dry weather when the fruit begin to ripen and take on their typical red color. The plant is native to Europe, but is cultivated in the temperate zones of America, Asia and Africa.

Black Cumin Oil is obtained from the ripe seeds of the black cumin plant (Nigella sativa L.), which belongs to the crowfoot or buttercup family (Ranunculaceae). Its ripe seeds have a fatty oil content ranging between 30 and 35 percent and an essential oil content of up to 2 percent. Although originally native to Egypt, black cumin is now mainly cultivated in Egypt, Syria, Iraq, Iran, Pakistan and India.

Seabuckthorn Pulp Oil is obtained from the berries of the sea buckthorn plant (Hippophae rhamnoides L.), which belongs to the oleaster family (Elaeagnaceae). The pulp of the berries has an oil content of around 2 percent. The sea buckthorn is originally native to Nepal, but is now mainly grown in China and Russia. In Europe, the sea buckthorn is cultivated primarily in Germany and the Balkan countries.
