Conventional or organic available The Almond tree (Prunus dulcis) is a member of the Rosaceae (rose) family, along with many other tree fruits such as peaches, apples, pears, plums, cherries, and apricots. The almond is a small bushy deciduous tree with beautiful pink blossoms and highly prized edible nuts enclosed in a hard green hull. It’s a small to medium sized tree with a spreading, open canopy, usually 10-15 feet in commercial orchards. It is an excellent, self-pollinating almond that bears heavy crops of soft-shelled almonds with a good, sweet flavor. The kernels are broad, full and oval in shape. The tree has an upright form that is a self-pollinating papershell. Almonds require a climate with dry summer/autumns and cool winters. Almond and related species are native to the Mediterranean climate region of the Middle East. The original plantings and beginning of the almond industry in Australia occurred in the Adelaide Hills of South Australia. The industry expanded into the South Australian Riverland in the 1960s and then along the Murray River in the 1970s. The Australian almond industry is concentrated in NSW, SA and Victoria with almost 29,000 ha of cultivated almond trees.

Conventional or organic available Hazelnut oil comes from the nuts of the Hazel tree, the botanical name of which is Corylus americana. Originally native to Europe, it is now grown extensively across the world including America. The nut is a delicacy that is often used in cooking, combined with chocolate. Hazelnut Oil has many benefits as it is considered valuable for facial and body massages. It has a high content of essential fatty acids like linoleic acid. Hazelnut is high in Vitamin E and also contains decent amounts of vitamin B6, folate, phosphorus, potassium and zinc. This Organic Australian Hemp Seed Oil is cold-pressed from the seeds of organically grown hemp. Hemp seed oil is great for the face, hair and body. In fact, it contains 23 different nutrients. Wheat germ oil is made from the germ of the wheat. The grain consists of three parts – the husk, the germ and the endosperm – and it is the germ that is used in the manufacture of the oil.

Flaxseed oil, also known as Linseed oil, is the expressed oil from the dried ripe seed of the Linseed, Linum usitatissimum L., Linaceae. It contains the essential fatty acid alpha-linolenic acid (ALA), which the body converts into eicosapentaenoic acid (EPA), and docosahexaenoic acid (DHA), which is the omega-3 fatty acids found in fish oil. Some researchers think flaxseed oil might have some of the same benefits as fish oil. Flaxseed is the richest plant source of the ω-3 fatty acid i.e. α-linolenic acid (ALA) It is low in saturated fatty acids (9 %), moderate in monosaturated fatty acids (18 %), and rich in polyunsaturated fatty acid (73 %). Of all lipids in flaxseed oil, α- linolenic acid is the major fatty acid ranging from 39.00 to 60.42 % followed by oleic, linoleic, palmitic and stearic acids which provides an excellent ω-6:ω-3 fatty acid ratio of approximately 0.3:1. Although flaxseed oil is naturally high in anti-oxidant like tocopherols and beta-carotene, traditional flaxseed oil gets easily oxidized after being extracted and purified.

Conventional or certified organic available Black Seed Oil (Nigella sativa) is also known as Black Cumin, Kalonji, Nigella, Black Coriander, Onion Seed and Roman Coriander. Nigella sativa is a small flowering shrub with purple or white-tinged flowers that grows in Eastern Europe, the Middle East, and western Asia. While it may look unsuspecting, the shrub produces fruits that have tiny black seeds. These black seeds have been used in remedies for thousands of years. Archeologists even found black seeds in King Tut’s tomb, emphasizing their importance in history for healing and protection. The oil is a yellow or amber color to pale orange/brown and has a woodsy, earthy fragrance. A nourishing oil, it is rich in beta carotene, Vitamins A and E and pro-vitamin A - it is a popular oil, particularly in the realm of skincare.

Tamanu seed carrier oil is extracted from nuts of Calophyllum tacamahaca which belongs to Caryophyllaceae family. The name TAMANU is a Tahitian word describing specifically the Calophyllum Inophyllum species which grows solely on Tahiti. The Tamanu nuts are only 3 or 4 cm in diameter and grow in small bunches dispersed throughout the tree. The fruits are green at first. Contrary to most other oil producing nuts, the fresh green Tamanu nuts are completely devoid of oil when they first fall from the tree. They need to be exposed to the sun for a few weeks before they turn a brownish color, develop their aromatic odor and achieve their full oil capacity. The pure expressed Tamanu oil which is extracted from the sun-drenched dry nuts is a rich Olive Green color with a characteristic marked odor. It contains a significant resin concentration (over 20%) which gives it its therapeutic properties well known in pharmacy and beauty care.

Conventional or organic available The coconut tree (Cocos nucifera) is a member of the palm family .It is often referred to as 'The tree of lifeas it can be used in so many wonderful and versatile ways. Coconut oil used in cosmetics or natural products is often referred to as Fractionated or MCT Coconut Oil. The word Fractionated stands for the process that separates the different types of fat in virgin coconut oil and MCT stands for “Medium Chain Triglycerides”. With MCT/Fractioned Coconut Oil, the Lauric Acid is removed using Hydrolysis and Steam Distillation, leaving only the medium-chain fatty acids, specifically capric and caprylic fatty acids. These 2 medium-chain fatty acids (capric and caprylic fatty acids) are what make up the MCT/Fractionated Coconut Oil in its final state. Virgin Oils always have a strong and distinct smell, richer color and may have a slightly thicker viscosity, whereas MCT oil has no odor and is a very light oil. When making cosmetics or natural products, sometimes virgin coconut oil creates some limitations regarding the formulation of certain products, like lotions, creams, lip balm and soap. This is due to the long-chain fatty acids going solid at a certain temperature. Fractionated Coconut oil also has great stability and longer shelf life than its counterpart Virgin coconut oil. Fractionated Coconut oil is a light, absorbent and colorless oil with a variety of uses. High in Vitamin E and antioxidants, it blends easily with other oils and ingredients. Conventional or organic available Safflower (Carthamus tinctorius) is a highly branched, herbaceous, thistle-like annual plant. It belongs to the Asteracese family. It is commercially cultivated for oil extracted from the seeds. It is described as a bushy herbaceous plant possessing several branches. Plants are 30 to 150 cm (12 to 59 in) tall with globular flower heads having yellow, orange, or red flowers. Each branch will usually have from one to five flower heads containing 15 to 20 seeds per head. Safflower is native to arid environments having seasonal rain. It grows a deep taproot which enables it to thrive in such environments. Safflower is one of humanity's oldest crops. Chemical analysis of ancient Egyptian textiles dated to the Twelfth dynasty identified dyes made from safflower, and garlands made from safflowers were found in the tomb of the pharaoh Tutankhamun. Safflower was also known as carthamine in the nineteenth century. Safflower (Carthamus tinctorius) production commenced in Australia during the 1950’s. American safflower material was successfully introduced and adapted to Australian conditions by Australian breeders located in Biloela, Queensland and after just four years, over 4046 hectares in Central Queensland were sown to safflower.

Conventional or certified organic available Camellia japonica, also known as Tsubaki (soo-baw-kee) in Japanese is a flowering tree indigenous to Japan and China, and a member of the tea family. Camellia japonica oil is harvested from the seeds of the plant and traditionally known for its remarkable ability to retain moisture and penetrate into the deepest layers of the skin because its composition is similar to sebum the oil is naturally produced by human skin, delivering an immense amount of phytonutrients. It is native to the coastal areas of the eastern Mediterranean Basin, Africa and parts of Asia. It is widely naturalized in southern and eastern Australia, particularly in temperate regions.It is most common in south-eastern South Australia, but is also naturalized in south-eastern and central Queensland, in the sub-coastal regions of central and northern New South Wales, in western and central Victoria, in many other parts of South Australia, and in the coastal and sub-coastal districts of south-western Western Australia. The history of Olive Farming in Australia dates back to the early 1800’s. Olives were first planted in groves around Parramatta near Sydney. It is an evergreen tree that grows between 2-12 meters in height and has numerous branches. It is a subtropical broad-leaved evergreen tree with edible fruit. Its leaves, leathery and lance-shaped, are dark green above and silvery on the underside and are paired opposite each other on the twig. The wood is resistant to decay. If the top dies back, a new trunk will often arise from the roots. The olive fruit is classed botanically as a drupe, similar to the peach or plum. Arnica is a herb that grows mainly in Siberia and central Europe, as well as temperate climates in North America. The flowers of the plant are used in medicine. Arnica is most commonly used for pain caused by osteoarthritis, sore throat, surgery, and other conditions. Arnica is also used for bleeding, bruising, swelling after surgery, and other conditions, but there is no good scientific evidence to support these uses. Australia has around six species of sandalwood, however only Santalum lanceolatum (also called Northern Sandalwood is widespread in Western Australia’s Kimberley region and the Pilbara region through most of the Northern Territory, through to the west and north of Queensland, western New South Wales, there are also occurrences of the tree in northern South Australia and north west Victoria.) and Santalum spicatum are sold commercially. The Northern Sandalwood shrub is found mainly on sandy soils or sandplains and grows up to 7m tall. It produces a small, edible fruit that is purplish black in color. Sandalwood trees are a partially parasitic species in the same family as mistletoe. Considered more ecologically responsible than traditional Indian Sandalwood, Sandalwood Santalum lanceolatum is quickly becoming a popular choice among aromatherapists and perfumers alike. There is documented evidence of traditional use of Northern Sandalwood in Australia, the fruit was eaten by indigenous people, the leaves were placed on a bed to assist in rheumatic conditions, the timber may have also been use by new mothers who would crouch over the aromatic smoke of Sandalwood leaves and wood chips for a period of time. The soybean (Glycine max) is a species of legume native to East Asia, widely grown for its edible bean which has numerous uses. The plant is classed as an oilseed. Soybean meal is a significant and cheap source of protein for animal feeds and many packaged meals soy vegetable oil is another product of processing the soybean crop. Soybeans produce significantly more protein per acre than most other uses of land. The oil is used in many industrial applications. Soy varies in growth and habit. The height of the plant varies from less than 0.2 to 2.0 m. The pods, stems, and leaves are covered with fine brown or gray hairs. The leaves are trifoliate, having three to four leaflets per leaf, and the leaflets are 6–15 cm long and 2–7 cm broad. The leaves fall before the seeds are mature. The inconspicuous, self-fertile flowers are borne in the axil of the leaf and are white, pink or purple. The fruit is a hairy pod that grows in clusters of three to five each pod is 3–8 cm long and usually contains two to four (rarely more) seeds 5–11 mm in diameter. Soybeans have been adapted across a wide area of Australia from the northern Queensland to the Darling Downs and inland river valleys south to the NSW coastal hinterland and coastal sugar belt to the inland cropping regions of southern NSW and Victoria. They are also grown in the northern irrigation areas of Western Australia.

This Refined Rosehip oil has a light yellow color and is very lightly scented, almost odorless. Rosehip oil has been cold-pressed from the crushed fruit and seeds of a certain variety of wild rose plant, specifically rosa canina, endemic to Chile. After the rose petals have dropped the distinctive red fruit is harvested. The fruit is also called the hip, hence the name Rosehip.
