This alcohol ethoxylate can be used as a component of lubricants, gear and chain oils, metalworking fluids, hydraulic fluids, and plasticizers. It is also soluble in naphthenic and paraffinic oils.

STEPAN® MWA-450 is a dea amide used as an emulsifier in soluble oils and synthetic and semi-synthetic metalworking fluids. It can be used as a component of lubricants, gear and chain oils, metalworking fluids, hydraulic fluids, and plasticizers. It can also help tighten emulsions, improve rust prevention, and provide lubricity. It should be considered a component for soluble oils where sodium sulfonates are not used.

STEPAN® MWA-257 is stable in both acidic and alkaline solutions and can be used as an emulsifier and lubricant in synthetic and semi-synthetic metalworking fluids. This highly active nonionic surfactant can be used as a component of lubricants, gear and chain oils, metalworking fluids, hydraulic fluids, and plasticizers. This alcohol ethoxylate is soluble in naphthenic and paraffinic oils.

STEPAN® MWA-570 HS is a diethylene glycol-phthalic anhydride-based modified polyester polyol that exhibits hydrolysis resistance and good thermal stability. It exhibits a good hardness/flexibility balance, clarity, and low color. It is used in metalworking formulations for improved lubrication properties and is a great option as a chlorinated paraffin replacement, either alone or with the addition of phosphate esters. The film formed by STEPAN® MWA-540 has excellent load-carrying ability, as shown by falex 4-ball and falex pin and vee testing.
