Georgia Nut was founded by Rose Musso in 1945 and started off as a small shelling and roasting operation. In the 1980’s Georgia Nut added confectionary capabilities to offer a bit more to an already loyal customer base. Then in the 1990’s we continued adding capabilities and began expanding into new markets such as ingredients and co-manufacturing. Around 2010 innovation really started to rapidly grow and that spurred significant capacity investments.
Today Georgia Nut remains a family owned and operated business by the Drehobl and Musso families. Our commitment to excellence is our key to success and superior service are the reasons we continue to grow. Manufacturing quality confections is what we do well and we focus on helping our customers to develop.

On a sunny, California day in 1995, O's Founder did something totally original. He crushed fresh citrus with Arbequina olives and created a new twist on California olive oil. His opus – O Meyer Lemon Olive Oil – was the first of its kind and launched the O Olive Oil & Vinegar signature line of artisan crushed olive oils.
Our success with artisan olive oils soon led us to the crafting of wholly unique vinegars using locally-sourced wine and traditional fermentation methods. Our premium vinegars and olive oils give chefs and home cooks endless options to bring the fresh flavors of California to the table.
Our olive varietals are crushed hours after being harvested from our partner family farms. This makes our olive oil the freshest available and full of beneficial polyphenols and antioxidant richness. We pioneered crushing real, clean ingredients, such as seasonal citrus and fresh herbs, together with California olives. It’s more work and expense, but totally worth it! The clean and fresh flavors are authentic and unmatched by other products.
Our vinegars are handcrafted in small batches at our state-of-the-art fermentation facility in the heart of California wine country. We always start with the cleanest, best-tasting ingredients and processes. Then, our very own vinegar cultures and time-honored techniques allow nature and time to work their magic.
