PLA is the most popular resin for 3D printing because it is easy to use and has almost no odor. It adheres well to masking tape without requiring a heated printing bed or noxious solvents. It is an optimal choice for homes, schools and laboratories, and has many commercial applications. Floreon Dura Tech Durable Grade is a PLA based compound intended for durable applications requiring high impact resistance, whilst also retaining a high renewable content which can be certified to recognized criteria. The material is recyclable and is not intended for applications that are compostable.

Floreon Therma Tech Flame Retarded Grade is a PLA based compound intended for durable applications requiring flame retardancy. This developmental grade contains a flame retardant, impact modifier, nucleating agent. The material is based on PLA and is designed as a drop in replacement for ABS in injection molding, extrusion and 3D printing. Drying of the material is recommended to ensure melt stability and limit degradation of the material during processing.

This grade exhibits faster crystallization rates and is able to develop improved heat-resistance in 3D printed parts. Printed parts made from this PLA can be heat treated, which can obtain properties that exceed ABS. To achieve a heat treat on a printed part, submerge in water (or bake in oven) at 80-130C for up to 30 minutes. Manufactured in the USA using High Heat PLA 3D850 resin. This material is a great substitute for normal PLA when greater heat resistance and impact strength is desired.
