ebalta 120/GL is a very low-viscous two-component epoxy resin with high strength values and fast curing. Due to its good soaking and wetting characteristics, this resin/hardener mixture is most suitable for solid parts with fabrics made of glass or carbon fibers. AH 120/GL is suitable as laminating resin for both large area- and thick laminates. Due to its almost odorless and skin-friendly GL hardener it is most suitable as laminating resin. With a mixing ratio of 100:40 you reach an about 15°C higher TG, slightly stiffer laminates as well as better impact resistance. The laminate thickness should not exceed 6-7 mm.

BJB Enterprises TC-1600-AB is an unfilled, low viscosity laminating epoxy resin for variety of fabricating applications. BC 7136-2 is an aluminum filled thick section casting system with heat resistance to 300°F. May be cast to a thickness of 2 inches in non-conductive molds, 3 inches in conductive molds, and thicker sections with the addition of bulk fill. For service temperature above 150°F a post-cure is required. Does not contain VCHD or MDA. BC 7136-2 is recommended for uses such as: RTM and RIM molds, matched dies, injection and compression molds, and constructing vacuum form tools.BC 7136-2 can be removed from the mold after allowing to set 24 hours at room temperature (75°F). Post cure for applications requiring temperatures above 150°F can be accomplished in an oven or in use by a gradual heat rise; 2 hours @ 150°F, plus 2 hours @ 250°F, plus 2 hours @ 300°F.

Especially for thin laminates, a post-curing of 16 hours at 80°C, after curing at room temperature, is essential in order to guarantee a complete curing. Otherwise the non post-cured laminate will be brittle and the adhesion of the layers with each other will not be sufficient.
