The Melochem 736 Dry Granulated Molding Compound are based on melamine-formaldehyde resins fortified with high-class cellulose as reinforcement and further modified with minor amounts of special purpose additives, pigments, cure regulators and lubricants. Our Melochem 736 grade is a general-purpose injection grade. Chemical components are chosen with the purpose of minimizing the potential risks to working environment and nature. The Melochem 736 Molding Compounds can be supplied in most colors from translucent pastels to black. Molded parts are free from odor, light stable and have good moisture resistance and water absorption and are therefore dishwasher safe. Excellent surface hardness and glossy surface is combined with excellent chemical resistance. Fats, oils and common organic solvents like alcohol and acetone do not attack the materials and they are also resistant to surfactants and weak bases. They will withstand attack from weak acids fro a shorter duration. Oxygen index is 40% and is achieved without the use of external flame-retardants. No halogens are present in the composition.

Melochem 751 Molding Compound particularly suitable for a number of household and foodservice applications including dinnerware, ramekins, ashtrays, jugs, ladles, bowls and similar objects. Melochem 751 is also used in the manufacture of retail, commercial and military grade buttons. Though not specifically developed for electrical applications this product can nevertheless be used for applications requiring superior electrical properties such as arcing, tracking and flame resistance. These products have a high-class feel and can be manufactured by using efficient plastic molding technology.
