- Usage Recommendations
- COATINGS: EPOXOL® EP159 may be used as an Ultra Low VOC Coalescent to replace commonly used non-fugitive coalescing agents and volatile solvents such as alcohol esters and glycol ethers. It offers good scrub and block resistance without greatly affecting hardness when used as a coalescent.
- CAULKS, SEALANTS, & ADHESIVES: Use as a non-fugitive plasticizer with good Dirt Pick-Up resistance, cold temperature flexibility, and mechanical properties.

Storage & Handling
- Storage
Description and Key Features mentioned are intended as guidelines for performance expectations. Formulations using this product should be thoroughly evaluated to determine performance properties, optimum use levels, functionality, and suitability. Storage Temperature:
Bulk - 75 to 85°F, Nitrogen blanket to minimize moisture
Drums – Ambient (Heat containers up to 90°F if material becomes cloudy or semi-solid at colder temperatures)
Epoxol® EP159 has a shelf life of 2 years when stored in the original intact shipping container at ambient temperature and humidity. If the material is stored at temperatures less than 70°F for extended time, then heating the material to above 90°F may be required. Heating of the material should not exceed 100°F.
If Epoxol® 159 is maintained at temperatures greater than 100°F for an extended time, then the quality of the material should be verified before use.
If Epoxol® 159 is stored for extended periods of time in an open container without a nitrogen blanket, then the quality of the material should be verified before use.
Notice: The product may become cloudy when exposed to low temperatures and they will eventually crystallize to a semi-solid state. This does not impair the effectiveness of the product. Its original clarity may be restored by heating to room temperature.
