Coatings:
Reduce the dispersion time and increase gloss and flow. It is particularly suitable for stabilizing titanium dioxide
and extenders. ADD-6212 strongly reduces mill-base viscosity allowing high pigment loading.
It is suitable for the following applications:
General industrial coatings
Transportation coatings (OEM and car refinish)
Acid-catalyzed systems (e.g. coil coatings)
PU sanding sealers (e.g. wood coatings)
ADD-6212 should be added prior to the dispersion/grinding process.
5.0-10.0% (delivery form) on inorganic pigments
1.0-4.0% (delivery form) on TiO2 and extenders
Composite:
ADD-6212 is an efficient wetting and dispersing agent for inorganic fillers, especially CaCO3 and ATH in
unsaturated polyester resin systems. This results in:
Improved wetting and incorporation of extenders
Reduced viscosity of the paste/compound
Increased filler and extender load
ADD-6212 is suited for filled unsaturated polyester systems (sheet and bulk molding compounds, gelcoats and
putties) or combination of polystyrene, polyvinylacetate and styrenebutadiene copolymers (e.g. LS- or LPformulations).
ADD-6212 is directly added to the unsaturated polyester resin while stirring prior to the addition of the extenders.
0.5-1.0% (delivery form) on extenders

Storage & Handling
- STORAGE, SAFETY & HANDLING
ADD-6212 should be stored in a cool dry place. When kept in an original unopened container, it will keep up to 5
years from the date of manufacture. ADD-6212 should be handled in accordance with good industrial practice.
