Dermol OL is made from vegetable-derived Oleyl Alcohol and naturally derived Lactic Acid (Alpha Hydroxy Acid). The free hydroxyl group on the Lactic Acid helps to facilitate spreadability and solubility in polar and nonpolar solvents. Dermol OL is a nongreasy, long chain, low freeze point emollient ester which finds use in many cosmetic applications such as lipsticks, eye shadow, liquid make-up, night creams and lotions where it contributes sheen, softness cushion and a high degree of lubricity to skin
