Amstel Products BV was founded in 1999 by shareholder Wim Crielaard. He was born in 1961 in the province of North Brabant in the Netherlands. After successfully completing his study BSc Technology & Nutrition at HAS University of Applied Sciences and a variety of commercial courses at the Dutch Marketing Institute (NIMA), he took positions at several raw material suppliers for the food industry. He started his career as a technical commercial advisor and later on worked as a commercial director at manufacturers of gelatin, cocoa powder, juice concentrates and binders. 
In 2004 Amstel Products started producing technical gelatine and starch under its own label. Nowadays we offer an extensive range of raw materials to a world wide market. Technical gelatine and starch still play a very important role in our company. We deliver to satisfied customers all over the world; from West- and East-Europe, to Korea and South-Africa, in Canada and South-America. Most recently we added Halal Gelatine to our wide product range, as well as cocoa powder, guar gum, our own binder blends and aromas."

Amstel Product BV Guar Gumis an EU-approved product, known as E214. It can be safely used in any food products. Guar gum is the ground endosperm of guar seeds. The guar seed is dehusked, milled and screened by guar gum manufacturers to obtain the powder. Guar gum powder is colored an off-white, vegetable gum, primarily used in the food industry. Guar Gum is a thickening agent, made from Guar beans. It is also called guargum/guargom/guaran/goma guar/gomme de guar or just guar.

Locust bean gum is a natural products, extracted from the carob tree, mostly found in the Mediterranean region. Locust bean gum is extracted from the carob bean, the seeds of the carob tree. And there is carob powder, also called carob flour; a products derived from the ripe, dried and grounded locust tree pods of the carob tree.
