Ava Biochem DFF-PUR-99 is produced from 5-HMF via partial oxidation and subsequently purified by crystallization. Our highly purified DFF can be used as organic chemistry platform chemical for applications in polymer chemistry to yield specialty polymers. Furthermore, the dialdehyde DFF can be used as a substitute for toxic dialdehydes such as Glyoxal or Glutardialdehyde, which is used in the leather tanning process to cross-link collagen. AVA Biochem offers DFF crystals in various purities.

Ava Biochem FDME-PUR is produced from bio-based 5-HMF via oxidation, and its dimethyl ester, FDME (CAS-No. 4282-32-0), play a particularly important role as monomers for various organic high-performance polyesters, polyamides and polyurethanes. These bio-based compounds can replace terephthalic acid in a wide range of applications.
