- Key Attributes
SCHWEGO foam 8325 is a liquid, very effective defoaming additive for emulsion paints. Particularly for those based on styrene/butadiene latex and acrylic copolymers. SCHWEGO foam 8325 is readily emulsifiable in water.
Applications & Uses
- Applications
- Compatible Polymers & Resins
- Compatible Substrates & Surfaces
- Use Level
- 0.1 - 0.3 %
- Processing Information
- SCHWEGO foam 8325 can be used as supplied or emulsified with 3-4 times the quantity of water. Depending on system it may be advantageous to add 2/3 of the defoamer quantity during the dispersion of the pigment and 1/3 to the emulsion, provided it is homogeneously distributed. The optimum dosage is 0.1 - 0.3 % SCHWEGO foam 8325, calculated on total system. The dosage may be increased up to 1.0 %. SCHWEGO foam 8325 is incorporated to the mill base. Thus, a good distribution is ensured and good defoaming is achieved when applied.
