Rheovis® PU 1216 is a non-ionic, medium pseudoplastic rheology modifier developed for water-based coatings, existing in a liquid physical form. It imparts pseudoplastic behavior to aqueous systems, exhibiting film-building properties and a strong affinity for pigments. Notably, its thickening capability remains unaffected by pH variations. This modifier enhances flow and gloss, augments hiding power, improves wash and scrub resistance, and demonstrates exceptional spatter resistance during roller application. As a CASE (coatings, adhesives, sealants, and elastomers) ingredient, it excels in providing excellent flow, high gloss, enhanced coating hiding power, good texture, and spatter resistance.
