Suggested Uses

HD-2117 was designed for topcoat applications on a wide variety of substrates, including concrete, metal, plastic and wood. HD-2117 produces films with exceptional adhesion to aluminum, excellent leveling properties and high levels of chemical resistance.

Application Method & Drying

HD-2117 can be used as a sole vehicle or blended with acrylic emulsions for spray or rotogravure applications. Rheology modifications can be made with associative thickeners for alternative application methods.

Drying

HD-2117 may be dried at ambient temperatures with supplemental co-solvent addition of 5% DPM or DPnB on total formulation weight. Typical oven drying temperatures and dwell times for aqueous coatings are sufficient to produce optimal film properties without additional co-solvent.
