PEL-SIL™ bis-PEG-10 is a linear, 100% active, dimethicone terminated with PEG-10 polyether groups. It is dispersible in water and is used in applications where lubricity, softness and conditioning are required. It finds use in personal care, household products, textiles and leather processing. Excellent surface tension reducer, it can boost foam quantity and stability in a multitude of personal care applications. It provides additional benefits such as moisturizing, emollience and a soft silky feel on hair and skin. It may also be used as a reagent to modify polymeric systems by virtue of its two primary hydroxyls. PEL-PHOS™ LP-300 Is a low-foaming aromatic phosphate ester with hydrotrope properties. It is a highly efficient agent for coupling nonionic surfactants into built hard surface cleaners. It is useful for cleaning formulations intended for metal & bottle-washing. When incorporated into metal cutting formulations, PEL-PHOS™ LP-300 provides extreme pressure lubricity due to its phosphate functionality.

PEL-AMPH™ HPL-28 is a modern imidazoline derived amphoteric surfactant that is suggested for personal care applications where mildness and luxurious lather are desired. Based on a pure lauric source, PEL-AMPH™ HPL-28 contains minimal amounts of by-products and is compatible with most other surfactants. In personal wash formulations such as body washes and shampoos, PEL-AMPH™ HPL-28 provides a dense lather and cleans without defatting the skin to give a rich, conditioning effect.

PEL-AMPH™ LDP is suggested for systems where sodium chloride would be detrimental to the performance of the final product or would cause corrosion problems. PEL-AMPH™ LDP is stable over the entire pH range and is used as a detergent & hydrotrope in high electrolyte systems. The product finds use in mild surfactant systems as well as hard surface cleaners. PEL-AMPH™ LDP helps wetting and solubilization in systems containing phosphate and polyphosphates. PEL-AMPH™ LDP useful as a corrosion inhibitor in aqueous systems. PEL-AMPH™ LDP is a high-foaming, salt-free amphoteric surfactant with good detergency.

PEL-PAG CF240 is a water-soluble, non-silicone defoamer. It is butanol ethoxylated and propoxylated. PEL-PAG-WS CF240 is used as a defoamer in waterborne paint and coatings. It can also be used as freeze-thaw stabilizer for latexes emulsions.

PEL-SIL™ PEG-8 has a wide range of applications in personal care products including, hair sprays and other leave-in hair products, shampoos, skin care lotions, shaving creams and hand sanitizing gels. It is stable in neutral or mildly acid or alkaline aqueous solutions, but stability is reduced by strong acid or alkali. PEL-SIL™ PEG-8 is used as a plasticizer for hair resins used in styling products. It also detackifies ingredients used in some formulations while providing emolliency and slip to carbomer-based formulations. Additionally, it imparts a soft silky feel to the hair.

PEL-HIB CC220 corrosion inhibitor is an amine borate ester suitable for use with aluminum and steel substrates. Originally introduced as an alternative to nitrites, it affords the same level of protection to ferrous materials. It provides excellent rust inhibition and aids lubrication. PEL-HIB CC220 is very water soluble. In addition to its applications in metalworking fluids and coolants, cooling water and boiler operations, oil well and refinery operations, fuels, lubricants and greases, PEL-HIB CC220 also find its uses in inorganic coatings, organic coatings, and printing inks.

PEL-PHOS™ CD260 is a dispersant, lubricant, anti-wear additive, corrosion inhibitor, wetting agent, emulsifier, detergent. It is both biodegradable and a non-ecotoxic surfactant. PEL-PHOS™ CD260 can also be used as co-emulsifier for emulsion polymerization.

PEL-SIL™ 9315 has a wide range of applications in polyurethane and in personal care products including, hair sprays and other leave-in hair products, shampoos, skin care lotions & shaving soaps. It is stable in neutral or mildly acid or alkaline aqueous solutions. Its stability is reduced by strong acid or alkali. PEL-SIL™ 9315 is used as a surfactant in the production of rigid urethane foams. It is not compatible on the isocyanate side and must be added with the polyol. It exhibits excellent compatibility with most polyol premixes.

PEL-PHOS™ LP-700 is a phosphate ester of ethoxylated phenol. It is an exceptionally effective extreme pressure lubricant for metal working formulations. It also functions as a corrosion inhibitor and as a hydrotrope in detergent preparations.

PEL-SIL™ 648 reduces the surface tension of aqueous solutions significantly lower than conventional nonionic surfactants can. Even at concentrations as low as 0.01 percent, PEL-SIL™ 648 will reduce surface tension below 23 dynes/cm. It produces very rapid wetting and spreading on hard-to-wet surfaces such as waxy leaves. PEL-SIL™ 648 allows complete coverage with herbicides, insecticides, fungicides and other agricultural chemicals. It is a low molecular weight nonionic silicone polyether surfactant, developed to improve the wetting, spreading and penetration of agricultural chemicals. It may be used as an ingredient in pesticide products, or as a tank-mix adjuvant for foliar applied chemicals. PEL-SIL™ 648 meets the requirements of US EPA regulation 40 CFR 180.910 regarding “tolerances and exemption from tolerances for pesticide chemicals in or on raw agricultural commodities.” It is approved for both food and nonfood use.

PEL-SIL™ CL380 is a linear, 100% active, PEG-10 siloxane polyether. It is an excellent flow and leveling agent for both waterborne and solvent borne coatings. It also provides slip and mar resistance as well as anti-blocking property. For UV/EB cure coatings, PEL-SIL™ CL380 can reduces coefficient of friction reduction without generating foams or lowering gloss. It may also be incorporated into polymer systems by virtue of its two primary hydroxyls in polyurethane systems.

PEL-AMPH™ OSF is an amphoteric surfactant with applications in industrial cleaners and personal care. It has excellent lubricating properties in addition to modest detergency. Its solubility in non-polar solvents makes it useful as a detergent for anhydrous, solvent-based cleaners. Unlike many other amphoteric surfactants, PEL-AMPH™ OSF contains no sodium chloride by-product. It is suggested for systems where chloride would be detrimental to performance or would cause corrosion problems. PEL-AMPH™ OSF is stable over a broad pH range and is a good choice for water-free cleaning formulations.

PEL-SIL™ 9868 is a silicone surfactant that is polyol compatible and especially designed for compatibility with pentane. It is useful in appliance insulation formulations and laminated continuous rigid board foam. PEL-SIL™ 9868 is designed to maximize the k-factor in initial and long term aging in pentane blown foam. With the above blowing agent it will produce foam with excellent flow characteristics, a high percent of closed cells and improved compressive properties.

PEL-EST™ OVG is a 100% natural derived emollient ester, obtained from organic extra virgin olive oil. It is useful as a co-emulsifier, wetting agent, emollient and conditioning agent for hair and skin. PEL-EST™ OVG is very mild and is excellent for refatting the skin. It is free of PEG, EO, PO, and dioxane.

PEL-SIL™ PEPG-310 is a high molecular weight, low HLB silicone emulsifier, conditioning agent and plasticizer for hair care resins. It is stable in neutral or mildly acid or alkaline aqueous solutions. Its stability is reduced by strong acid alkali. PEL-SIL™ PEPG-310 is used as a plasticizer for hair resins used in styling products. It is an effective wetting agent and emulsifier. Additionally, it imparts soft silky feel to the hair.

PEL-SIL™ CL340 is a nonreactive, acetate capped, silicone glycol copolymer surfactant supplied at 100 percent active concentration. It provides slip, gloss enhancement, pigment treatment and leveling for ink and coatings applications. Additionally, it provides mar resistance for coatings applications such as glossy printed materials. PEL-SIL™ CL340 is compatible with acrylic, epoxy, nitrocellulose, phenolic, polyester & polyurethane systems. With a low order of toxicity, this product acts as an anti-stick agent in printing ink applications. It is particularly useful for facilitating the slip of magazine covers over one another during printing and distribution. It is also used as a solubility aid to compatibilize blowing agents with isocyanates in the production of polyurethane foams. PEL-SIL™ CL340 is stable in neutral or mildly acidic or alkaline aqueous solutions. It Imparts anti-blocking and improves mar resistance of PU coatings. PEL-SIL™ CL340 is an effective leveling agent for synthetic leather top coatings.

PEL-AMPH™ HPC-32 is a modern imidazoline derived amphoteric surfactant that is suggested for personal care applications where mildness and luxurious lather are desired. PEL-SIL™ CL290 is a organo-modified silicone-based additive consisting of a siloxane backbone and polyethylene-oxide (EO) and polypropylene oxide (PO) side chains. PEL-SIL™ CE 390 has recoatability and low tendency to foam. It is good compatibility with many resin systems. PEL-SIL™ CL290 is an excellent silicone-based additive for improving slip and mar resistance and reducing friction coefficient for solvent-borne, water-borne, and UV/EB cured coating systems. It can be used for coatings in industrial and auto, wood, and overprint vanishes and inks.

PEL-AMPH™ 2CSF is a mild amphoteric surfactant with applications in both personal care and industrial cleaners. Due to its excellent coupling properties in personal care products, it is used to couple conditioning agents in shampoos. Its ability to couple nonionic surfactants into high levels of electrolyte makes PEL-AMPH™ 2CSF very useful for built industrial cleaners. It is suggested for systems where sodium chloride would be detrimental to the performance of the final product or would cause corrosion problems. PEL-AMPH™ 2CSF is stable over a broad pH range and is the surfactant of choice in high electrolyte systems.

PEL-SIL™ 1315 is an efficient isocyanate or polyol compatible, liquid surfactant especially designed for isocyanurate applications. In isocyanurate formulations, it will produce foam with excellent flowability under a variety of foaming conditions. Other applications include foam for low density appliances. Flame retardant transportation and construction foams, and high density water blown formulations. A good starting point would be 0.5 to 0.9% of PEL-SIL™ 1315 on the total weight of the reactants.

PEL-SIL™ PEG-12-LO is a special grade of PEG-12 Dimethicone that has been treated to reduce its propensity to form off odors on exposure to moisture. Standard grades of PEG-12 Dimethicone have an aldehydic odor and develop an even stronger odor when diluted with water or even from atmospheric moisture. That tendency is dramatically reduced in PEL-SIL™ PEG-12LO. It is stable in neutral or mildly acid or alkaline aqueous solutions. Its stability is reduced by strong acid or alkali. It is especially useful for the formulation of personal care products including hair sprays and gels where it serves as a plasticizer for the resins used in such styling products. It is also an excellent humectant & emollient in skin products and other leave-on products.

PEL-SIL™ PEG-8L has a wide range of applications in personal care products including, hair sprays and other leave-in hair products, shampoos, skin care lotions & shaving creams. It is stable in neutral or mildly acid or alkaline aqueous solutions but stability is reduced by strong acid or alkali. It performs as a wetting agent, emulsifier and a foam builder. PEL-SIL™ PEG-8L is used as a plasticizer for hair resins used in styling products. It also detackifies ingredients used in some formulations while providing emolliency and slip to carbomer-based formulations. Additionally, it imparts a soft silky feel to the hair.

PEL-ALC™ SA-15P is a nonionic emollient, solubilizer and coupling agent, useful for formulating non-greasy skin care compositions. It also serves as a coupling agent for mineral oil and/or esters in hydroalcoholic systems and as a base for perfume compositions.

PEL-SIL™ CL330 is a silicone-based additive consisting of a siloxane backbone and polyethylene-oxide (EO) side chains. It is stable in neutral or mildly acid or alkaline aqueous solutions. The EO component gives PEL-SIL™ CL330 coatings additive its compatibility with water-borne systems. PEL-SIL™ CL330 has excellent wetting and recoatability. It can be used at low dosage levels. PEL-SIL™ CL330 can be recommended for use as a leveling and wetting agent in water-borne paints and coatings in automotive, transportation, construction and aerospace industries. It can also be used in solvent-based and high solid/UV curable coatings as leveling agent. For polyurethane foam coatings, PEL-SIL™ CL330 acts a surfactant and foam cell stabilizer. It is not compatible on the isocyanate side and must be added with the polyol. It exhibits excellent compatibility with most polyol premixes.

PEL-AMPH™ ALP is a vegetable-derived, amino acid based amphoteric surfactant useful in the formulation of mild foaming products. Combining the soothing effect of arginine with the low irritation potential of an amphoteric surfactant creates an exceptionally mild surfactant for personal care products. PEL-AMPH™ ALP produces moderate levels of foam, is an excellent wetting agent, has a high renewable carbon content, and is readily biodegradable.

PEL-SIL™ CL320 is a low HLB silicone surfactant and a leveling & gloss agent. It is used as an additive for polyurethane coating resin systems. PEL-SIL™ 9107 will react into PU coatings to give silicone properties to the surface because it is hydroxyl functional. It is useful for imparting silicone characteristics into synthetic leather top coat formulations.

PEL-SIL™ Q-80 is a quaternary organosilicone that is substantive to hair and skin. In hair care formulations, it acts as a conditioning and anti-static agent, improving the combability, gloss, and manageability of hair. In skin care products, PEL-SIL™ Q-80 performs as an emollient, a slip aid, and imparts a smooth feel. It is recommended for evaluation in shampoos, conditioners, lotions, and liquid soaps.

PEL-PHOS™ SG is cetyl alcohol, alkoxylated and phosphated. With its higher molecular weight and its weak anionic nature, it is very mild to the skin when formulated to pH 4-9. PEL-PHOS™ SG provides conditioning, emulsification, thickening, solubilization and is also useful for the adjustment of the pH of both hair and skin cleansing products. Because it is a phosphate ester, it acts as a buffer to stabilize pH. It is used in conditioning shampoos where it improves wet combing and enhances the manageability of dry hair. It is compatible with both cationic and anionic surfactants and is not very hydrophobic or cationic, like many conditioning agents, so it does not build up on the hair. When formulated with cationics, such as in hair conditioners, PEL-PHOS™ SG will provide viscosity enhancement to formulations.

PEL-SIL™ CL360 is an excellent flow and leveling agent for solvent-based coatings and inks. It can also be used as defoamer or anti-foaming agent for waterborne coatings systems. It can be used at low dosage levels. For polyurethane foam coatings, PEL-SIL™ CL360 acts a surfactant and foam cell stabilizer. It is not compatible on the isocyanate side and must be added with the polyol. It exhibits excellent compatibility with most polyol premixes.

PEL-AMPH™ 2CSF is one of the mildest amphoteric surfactants of its class and is suggested for personal care applications where low irritation is a must. In personal care formulations such as baby shampoos, bubble baths, and body cleansers, PEL-AMPH 2C provides a moderate lather and cleans without defatting the skin to give a rich, conditioning effect. PEL-AMPH 2C is stable over a wide pH range which makes it ideal for formulating AHA cleansers, etc. It is useful for the formulation of products used around food preparation areas and hospital hand cleansers. PEL-AMPH 2C is frequently used as the only surfactant in products such as premoistened wipes.

PEL-SIL™ 1316 silicone surfactant is compatible with polyols and specially designed for use with pentane in both appliance formulations and laminated continuous rigid board foam. PEL-SIL™ 1316 is designed to maximize the k value both initially and in long term aging. PEL-SIL™ 1316 will produce foam with excellent flowability and a high percent of closed cells.

PEL-AMPH™ 2CY-75 is an amphoteric derived from caprylic hydroxyethyl imidazoline. It has excellent wetting and detergent properties while providing low foam. PEL-AMPH™ 2CY-75 has good stability in strongly alkaline and moderately acid systems. It is recommended for use in areas where low foaming detergency is needed such as, dairy cleaning, food processing plants, etc. PEL-AMPH™ 2CY75 is compatible with most all other surfactants. It is also an excellent solubilizer for higher molecular weight surfactants, particularly nonionics. Its low irritation properties make it ideal for personal care wipes.
