Cranberry is a shrub which grows in peat bogs of cold regions. It’s presence characterizes sphagnum floors soaked with water. Since the early 21st century within the global functional food industry, raw cranberries have been marketed as a "superfruit" due to their nutrient content and antioxidant qualities. Cranberry seeds are rich in tocotrienols and tocopherols (Vitamin E) and other antioxydant. As a result, the oil extracted from the seeds is generally used in anti-aging products. Cranberry seeds are furthermore an excellent source of Omega-3, Omega-6 and Omega-9. These polyunsaturated fatty acids offer great benefits by helping to moisturize the skin, reducing inflammation and strengthening the skin.
